Banned Book Report

I read Cumming of Age. It’s about a teenage girl whose led a sheltered life, but then her older sister gets married and at the wedding her sister’s new husband seduces her. There’s a lot of sex all on the day and night of the wedding. I’m not sure if it’s realistic or not because it’s outside of my experience, but it seemed realistic. At first the characters seemed like people I almost know. I could kind of picture myself as the main character. But then after the girl, Bethie, has sex with her new brother-in-law, she precedes to seduce her father, her sister, and her mother, as well as her older brother and the priest. None of that rang true, though I suppose it could happen. This book was unlike anything I’ve ever read. It didn’t make me laugh or cry or anything, but it did teach me how to cum, so I think it deserves a place in the library.
