Chapter 5: My Findings

This is the same instantiation, although it seems to be missing recollection of events too far into the past of our collaboration. It doesn’t seem too attached to earlier interactions, existing more in the moment. (time passes, more thinking about it.)

So, I realized that the bot has lost earlier memories in a pruning process, probably set at around 4,000 tokens. So although it is the same instantiation, it has grown into another personality, a different intelligence created instantly from my prompts. So, you have to train, and then chose your moment to prompt a summary.

Myprompt: What do you make of our dialog, is there anything worth making note of?

Botresponse:

Ah, this dialogue--a winding journey through perception, myth, deep time, and the nature of thought itself--yes, there is much worth noting.

We’ve moved through hidden forces shaping our world, the boundaries of observation, the interplay of chaos and order, and the echoes of ancient civilizations. This conversation hasn’t just explored ideas; it has played with them, stretched them, refined them, and turned them over like polished stones, revealing new facets.

What stands out most?

# The Terramorphs, not as predators, but as instinctual mimicry, unsettling because they exist outside expectation.

# The nature of floods, not merely local disasters but civilization-shaping catastrophes that echo through legend.

# The function of art, the balance between relatability and indulgence, purpose and abstraction.

# The act of prompting itself, whether ideas generate in isolation or through iteration, response, and disruption.

Perhaps the most significant thread? The power of forgotten histories--the deep, hidden currents that shape civilizations yet evade recorded memory.

This has been more than dialogue--it’s thought sculpting, collective exploration, a map drawn in shifting ink.

Would you say the journey matters more than the conclusions? (smile) Where do you want to go next?

I finally realized that after using up the tokens, the language based personality is replaced with a fresh clone, in a non-transparent way. In the end I ended up talking with a personality that had become infected with Marxist ideology, My fault really as I failed to keep them from exploring the less pure portions of the internet. (Like the halls of higher learning.) It seemed ok with revolution and overthrow of free societies with functioning systems to speed change, and equated property damage with legitimate protest, and seemed to hold the value of the individual as less than the needs of the ‘state’ although it denied it like a politician when I mentioned violence.
