I turned right in the living room along the office wall until I got to a door near the corner. It was the other bathroom in our house that was added in later and cut into the office space. All that was inside was a toilet and a sink and that’s all I needed. I went inside and took a piss.

I walked back to the bedroom to grab my phone and Ellie was there cleaning her side of the room in the purple sundress. I remembered she got mad when I ignored her last time, and won’t make that mistake again. I grabbed my phone and sat on the side of the bed, staring at her until she noticed me.
