Chapter 5
While Anni was invading Prudenville, her cohorts were invading other places. All over the world the landing craft were leaving gold streaks in the sky. Several thousand females and about a thousand males were exiting their constructs. Sometimes, if the craft landed in water, it might be a yacht ... or a shrimper, if the water was shallow, and a longline fisher if it was farther out. No cities ... near but wooded areas ... or mountain valleys. The craft was suited to the general area.
The vehicle was completely suited to the area, the passenger fit the locale ... they looked local ... they sounded local. They weren’t. They were always from a town or village a hundred miles away.
“I’m not from here,” was said thousands of times to various police, fathers, mothers and guardians all across the world. The admitters were, either, high school grads, college freshmen, or recently discharged military. No computer system was proof against Jane. Records always existed ... people in far-away places remembered those kids.
The men were instant heart throbs ... pantie dampeners ... but oh so polite ... famous for their stamina ... length ... and ... soon to be noted by doctors all over the world ... virility. Girls who made a Vee for the Visitors were called ‘mommie.’
Their sperm ... powered right through condoms, defeated the little blue pill ... no spermicide killed, maimed or disabled those sperm. Once and done. Babies were... ‘sooo cute.’ ‘That kid is gonna be a heart breaker.’
‘Ooo such a little Man.’ High School sge babysitters noticed on first diaper change ... and ... it took a while ... gossiping in the cafeteria ... those regular babysitters compared notes.
“For a little kid ... that’s a big dick.”
The babies born of the visitors or bred by a visitor didn’t get the ills that regular babies did.
Five generations, a hundred years later, some random researcher working towards a Ph.D noticed that there was a whole subset of people who never did anything wrong. Never arrested, suspected or tested ... NEVER a DNA test.
A call went out for volunteers. Jane was long gone. People were tested ... oops.
Comparisons were made...”I’m not from here,” were truly ... not from here. They were also the majority in places that allowed the vote ... and they did. One of them was ‘president’ of the most powerful nation. Of 100 senators, 55 were ‘not from here.’ 51% of the lower house? Yup... ‘not from here.’ Governers, Judges, Mayors, councilmen, the King of Great Britain? Yup.
At ten generations, 51% of the population of the earth was ‘not from here’ ... and they got along.
Astronomers recorded an ‘event’ on the far side on the galaxy. A super nova.
Then ... the ships came.
Politics had stabilized the population ... one child became the ‘norm.’ There was room for the ship people.
At 25 generations ... everybody was ‘not from here.’
How long does it take to be ‘from here?’ According to the Indians? Never.
