Chapter 4: My new Job

Like I said I stayed with Robert the first month after the attack. He took care of getting the downed chopper out of his pool. No questions asked! Then he had the entire concrete deck dug up and a new pool and deck installed. I suggested a built in bar-b-que and a hot tub and he made it happen. After 30 days my company called with another job. Some new senator wanted an all-female security team. She was very into the feminist movement and thought it would look good on her social media pages. I quit!

I had a better offer. Robert needed a security chief. I applied and got the job. One of the perks was Robert!

Our wedding was in Vegas but no Elvis this time. I had contracted my old company and we had a security detail following us the entire time. Robert never knew.

At home the old gate guard that had missed all the action was re-hired and given the job of watching and operating the front gate from the control room. He worked out perfectly. I installed two guard posts with armed security. They were manned 24/7. Maybe un-necessary but you can never be too careful. Especially since we are expecting our second son in about 4 months!

Robert---Sue called me a “tweeb”! Super Nerd? I’m okay with that but not “TWEEB”. I’m going to make her pay for that!
