The Vigilantes

Chapter 3
The vigilantes were doing well, performing above their own expectations for what they thought they could accomplish. Without covering the whole list again let’s just say they had done substantial clean up. But as we detailed in Chapter 1 there are so many drug pushing gangs around that getting rid of one often served the purpose of opening up market share for another. It was Whack-a-mole, for sure.
One gang had a nice clubhouse complete with recreation and dining rooms. It was quite luxurious and obviously cost a pretty penny. It had a stage which featured a stripper’s pole in the middle. Girls hired by the gang would do a strip-tease and slide around and down the pole grabbing onto it and swinging around with their legs wide open. Hmmmm, that’s a show most of the menfolk would enjoy. The clubhouse was a little remote from the city so there were no neighbours to interfere with the clubhouse operations. Bad mistake for the club. They had installed some security measures but had not yet completed the job.
This gang was a big methamphetamine and fentanyl supplier. Their connections brought it all in from China where it was very cheap to produce. The gang also illegally imported pistols and even some SMGs (sub machine guns, see Sten gun, GM Grease gun or MP40). The police would sometimes make inroads cutting the supply but it was a losing game. The lefties didn’t like the unrestrained drug activity either but they would never admit that if you are fighting a war, it needed to be fought like a real war was. This lesson from history was long ago lost by modern society. Except for the vigilantes. They knew what had to be done. It wasn’t pretty, no, not at all, but it worked.
This well known gang was smart and was well managed – for a criminal enterprise. It was difficult for the police to get to the higher ups and make charges that would stick. They usually just got the lower level workers. Typical. And people wondered why the illegal drug trade just went on and on and on. The gangs got wealthier and the drug addicts OD and died or were hooked for life on some miserable crap illegally imported for pennies but sold for thousands.
The vigilantes sat back and looked at the situation. Yes, they wanted to move on the clubhouse and take down the gang. They had insiders in the police departments that were feeding them information on who was where, who the big shots were, etc. They also had to consider that there were girlfriends and even women who were just entertainers like the strippers or hookers at the clubhouse. The vigilantes had not issue with the women. These women had to be gotten out safely before the mopping up of the gang could be accomplished. It was not just as simple as levelling the place. The gang was well armed too. They had plenty of ARs and lots of .223 Rem to keep ‘em warm.
