Chapter 23: Julia and Elsa

Anna’s phone pinged with a new text.

Julia <The only time my Mum gets involved in my life she screws it up for me>

Anna <What happened?>

Julia <Jose came to pick me up for our date. Mum told him she thought he was too old to be dating her 14-year-old daughter>

Anna <Shit and you had told him you were 16, right?>

On the next Saturday morning Anna had a text from Elsa.

Elsa <Are you studying this afternoon?>

Anna <We usually quit about 3 and go for a sauna. Do you want to join us?>

Elsa <That’s exactly what I was hoping. Can I bring Javier?>
