THE GIRLS AWAKEN FROM BEING LIT UP BY AUNT MAMMAE

As Aunt Mammae and Geraldine check on the girls, they decide it’s best to have Gerald and Marcus carry them to their own bedroom and put them to bed.

So they go get Marcus and Gerald who comes and takes the sleeping girls into their bedroom and puts them to bed.

They all return to the living room, and decide to go up top and see how the construction is going.

When they open the bunker door to go out something is altogether different now.

The door of the bunker is surrounded two feet from each side of the opening and there is now an enclosed area leading from it out to where the new door way will be.

As they climbed out and stood there in it Marcus told everyone this was a safety enclosure to keep them safe from the crews working over head.

So they all walk outwards from it and look about, everything is moving so fast in construction of the house and new barn.

The huge thick lime rock stones used for the house is now four layers high, the window openings now clearly outlined all along the front the of new house.

Gerald and Geraldine are in awe at the total absolute grandeur of it, the new home will be an outright mansion of style, already the huge lime stone pillars are now in place for what will be the front porch of the new home.

It alone is some 20 ft long from the doorway and will stretch the entire length of the front of the home.

No doubt they both were thinking that their new home will be the most grandeur beautiful colonial style country home of the entire farm community area.

And all of it in just simple one story design and build as they wanted to be and Marcus of course to.

Making it sturdier and far more able to withstand anything mother nature could throw at it, and in this country that can be something that happens often.

The outright brutal winters alone will now be a total blessing with all this thick lime stone rock to protect them from it all.

As they walk about they look at the barn and wow what a sight to see as it is coming along faster than their home is.

The huge steel beam construction is now even more understanding of just how it can withstand about anything mother nature can throw at it.

Already the roof beams are in place and even from the distance they were from it you could see the joining of the steel beams of the roof that were heavily and solidly bolted to the all the side beams.

Gerald seeing this thought damn we won’t have a barn we’ll have a frickin’ huge football stadium like they built for Pro stadiums and probably even way bigger than that alone.

Border had come atop with them and he had just taken off to go out and meet all new human friends and all the workers and crews loved him, and he was in heaven with all the human petting he was getting and attention.

Gerald seeing this even said; “I think we have lost our border to the crews honey, as saying that made everyone laugh.

Marcus himself said; “Oh he will be right at home amongst them all, and they all decided it would be best to let him have full roam of the place, because after all he was indeed far more an outside dog than an inside one not uncommon with his being a border collie breed.

So border was considered lost to the new crews at least until all the construction was finished and done.

Now they saw this 18 wheeler come pulling in to the farm, as both Gerald and Geraldine stared at it wondering why there were four brand new vehicles atop the flatbed trailer it pulled.

Marcus just walked over to them and stood there with them and said; “All new vehicles for us all have now arrived.”

There was one big super heavy duty four door dually pickup, and one almost off road looking 4 door heavy duty suv of sorts, and two much smaller suvs were loaded atop the flatbed.

Looking at it all Marcus went on to say; “I’d say winter driving for you all is not a problem anymore since all four of those vehicles are full four wheel drive capable.

Looking at Gerald Marcus said; “My man as he put his big huge black hand on Gerald’s shoulder, your Dually has a heavy duty fifth wheel set up, something a man needs on a farm for sure, it has been totally upgraded in it’s heavy duty build to haul almost anything you will need to now.”

Then looking at both Gerald and Geraldine Marcus said; “I couldn’t decide on colors so it seemed all white was the best choice.”

As even now that huge crane was poised over the 18 wheeler flatbed and as workers used big thick straps they hoisted every vehicle off the trailer and onto the ground with not a problem one.

So there their brand new vehicles sat.

But with all the construction going on and the huge machinery moving about they all decided it would be safer and best to not walk out and look at them as yet.

But they were indeed all here now.

Then another 18 wheeler arrived and it had two more vehicles on it.

One Brand new shiny black as could be 3 door suburban was on it, and another heavy duty 4 door suv totally black in color to.

Marcus then said; “Those are my and Aunt Mammae’s vehicles.”

Then as he laughed said; “I do not think another farm family in this whole valley has anything better than your family has now.”

And that truly was no doubt, this whole farm community had struggled hard through some really hard times for farms in this era.

Marcus had already assured both Gerald and Geraldine that would soon change for all these farm families in this valley he would see to it!
