Chapter 40
This past weekend, I was doing “Grandpop Duty” watching the kids while their parents went out to take care of a few things. As they were headed to the car, my son calls out to the kids: “See yu later, alligator!” For some reason, this sent the 8 year old granddaughter into a fit of laughter. (What kids find funny has always baffled me.)
So, just for fun, she and I came up with a list of silly sayings to use as a farewell. If you want to add your own, feel free to do so. (I have a “Shit List” update pending!)
See you later, alligator!
In a while, crocodile!
Out the door, dinosaur!
Chop-chop, lollipop!
See you soon, baboon!
Take care, polar bear!
Give a hug, ladybug!
In an hour, sunflower!
Or maybe two, kangaroo!
Better swish, jellyfish!
Better shake, rattlesnake!
Bye-bye, butterfly!
Time to go, buffalo!
Blow a kiss, goldfish!
Be sweet, parakeet!
The grandson, a worldly age of 11, came from his room to find his sister and I giggling at how silly we were. HE shook his head and mutterd something along the lines of “A I really related to these people?” and went back to his room. “Time to go, Romeo!” - OGD
