Chapter 8

After Remsin’s departure we spoke for a few hours. About how to proceed further. What will be the challenges we will be facing. And many more.

When we exited the room, we all stood at the door in shock. We expected to see a dark clearing in the forest. Instead, what we were facing was a corridor.

Sara appeared in front of us and said “This way please.”

“Where are we Sarah?”

“With the help of Remsin and his people we were able to shift everything within a few hours. Now we all reside in the ships main frame. They have set up teleportation pads all over. Enough of that, let’s have some rest first. We will speak in the morning.”

We all were led to our separate rooms. When I entered the room, I just went to bed.

5 days to the meeting...

Early in the morning I woke up to an alarm. “What is this alarm about.”

“Hello commander Matty, my name is Shanab the AI. I am responsible for the ships management. The alarm you are hearing is about an unidentified ship, this ship is approaching our way.”

“They might be the Canfi race. Tell Julia about confirming it.”

Within a few minutes the alarm was stopped. Anyway, I got up and started to freshen up. After a few minutes I exited the door. I was facing five others, Skippy, Sita, Gita, Rugo and Remsin. Shal, we move towards ramp and meet the Canfi.

“What is the direction towards the ramp Shanab?”

“There is no ramp for this ship Commanders. There is a platform near the ship. Would you like to go there?”

“Please show us the way.”

“Follow the yellow light on the wall. They will lead you to a teleportation pad where you will be teleported to the platform.”

We started following the line towards the destination. That is when Shanab started speaking.

“I am informed to give you a report about the current status. At present three floors are being equipped with teleportation and medical facilities. Those are the command level where you all reside. On this level we have installed the communication and conference room.

The next two floors are the top and bottom where humans and merinians reside at present. Except yours the other are temporary. Within next three days the other floors will be equipped the same way.”

We acknowledge the status report and kept walking. Within a few minutes we were standing on the platform. Still watching a spaceship land was a novel experience.

After few more minutes we were facing each other. “Shall we move towards the conference room?”

“I never new that the Hurials were over here already. So, this explains the presence of a colony ship in the space. Yes I think we need to speak in a comfortable place.”

Again, we were walking. We are making our way towards the conference room now. The only sound that could be heard was of the walkers’ footsteps as the walk was conducted in near silence. After the refreshments were brought out. There was a moment of hesitation as we all waited to see who would be the first to speak.

This felt like de-ja-vu. I broke the silence by introducing Remsin to Griforce and vice versa. Upon my signal Remsin revealed himself. “By God, this revelation will shake the universe.”

“Yes that is right, this revelation will shake the universe. But I would like it to remain a secret. We will reveal it when we leave this planet.”

“As you wish Matty. So, what should we do now? There are five races over here. What are your plans?”

Before I could reply Rakesh entered and spoke. “Hello all, Matty The specific room has been finished. Shal, we move there?”

“Sure Rakesh, Friends I would like to show you all to come with me. Some might know about this room. But I would like to explain over there the significance of the room.”

Upon entering the room after a few minutes Matty spoke again. “As you all can see there is a large table with many chairs. Behind every chair is a screen, this screen will hold the symbol of the person sitting in the chair.
