Chapter 3
(I am sorry to say that the size of the ship won’t be specified yet.)
During one of the evenings gathering: -
“Sarah, now that we have completed the AI rooms, what should be the next target?”
“Skippy, according to the requirement, we need training rooms and a communication room.”
“I have an idea, Sarah.”
“Yes Geeta, and what is it?”
“What if we install a training pod in every quarter? Instead of waiting for their turn they can all study at their own pace and time.”
“It is a good idea. So now that the training room has taken care of, we need the communication room.”
“Yes Mattie, now as the options of training room is clear we can focus on communication room. but how should we design it?”
“You know Sarah I had a thought. In future we are going to assign a person to every task. then why shouldn’t we do so now?”
“Please simplify your thought, Sita.”
“What i mean to say is that we assign a person to a specific task. Then that person can design and work on it. It will be easy for them to work effortless.”
“Hmmmmm, your logic is correct. It will save the time for them to get accustomed. If I am not mistaken then you have the right person on your mind.”
“Yes Skippy, according to me. Deepak for construction and Anna for communication.”
After some more discussion Rakesh was chosen for Scavenging team. Debu as a spokesperson of the village.
By researching the old comic books and incorporating new technology. The communication room was built the design is as follows: -
First, there were screens from floor to ceilings. Second, a five-meter circle with holo-projections. Third, comfortable sofas around the holo-projector. And fourth, many consoles for multi-tasking.
The size of the room is twenty-four meters in width and length and twelve meters in height. The AI for this room was named Julia,
The reasons to create a communication room first are as follows: -
First, as the name specifies, to communicate with friends or foes for updates. And second, to ask for help in some specific products to move forward.
It took us two months of nonstop working to complete the task. The day after the completion of the room, the five friends gathered in one place. Behind them was the communication team.
Upon Sarah’s request, everyone took their respective seats. The four sat on sofas and the rest at their assigned consoles. Training Pods were not yet started, so the training was being held the old traditional way.
The first thing that Julie did was send a signal out. This signal was specific. This signal can only be decoded by a Merinian. We or rather Sarah Was unsure if we could get a reply, but we had to try.
Merinians, these are the species that gifted the humans the space-ship a long time ago. It is also the origin of Sarah. So, the first message that was sent.
“There is a very slight chance of getting a reply, but Sarah how are we supposed to get it all over the universe.”
“Geeta, there are many relay/signal boosters all over the universe. And to answer the further question yes, they are hidden, so no one can detect it.”
Before any further discussion could take place there was a reply from a Merinian ship. There were very few Merinians left and they were in a cargo ship, it was damaged but functional. They were given the coordinates of the earth and told to head towards our location.
Due to the damage taken, their video link was broken. We were a bit disappointed about not being able to have a look at them, but Sarah was delighted. The news of a few Merinians still being alive means a lot to her. After all who wouldn’t be happy.
Sarah contacted a few automated cargo ships hidden on moon. for some raw material. This would increase our output significantly.
“What! There are automated Cargo ships on our moon, won’t the others find it”.
“Sita, Calm down.”
“But, Mattie.”
“Sita, let Sarah speak.”
“Thank you, Mattie, Sita we have the cloaking device, so no one can find the ships. As you will see these ships will be landing within a few minutes.”
Upon hearing that a few functional spaceships are going to land. Everyone present in the communication room ran outside to have a look. They were searching the sky for a glimpse of spaceships.
Their concentration was broken when someone shouted about twenty ships suddenly appearing. When they looked at the area of clearing, they were spell bound.
The whole village worked day and night to clear the area for constructing a spaceship. But now the area wasn’t empty, instead of a clear area there stood twenty ships. The design of these ships was simple. It looked like twenty boxes sitting in their location.
Their musings were broken by the orders given by Rudra. Soon Deepak and his team started unloading the raw materials. In addition of raw materials, they gained five industrial replicators.
All the personals from the communication room watched the proceedings. After a few minutes they entered the room for further discussion and training.
