Chapter 12

“What do you mean I could have been? And why are you glad you’re not a cop anymore?” Keith asked.

She pointed at Keith, “No, you explain yourself first. What you’re doing is very risky.”

“He didn’t force himself on me. I seduced him,” I confessed. I wasn’t letting her or anyone take Keith away. Not without a fight.

She gave me a strange look, “I could see that he didn’t force himself on you. That much was clear on the video. I’m trying to stay calm right now, I really am. I’ve been so close to telling the authorities about what you’ve been up to so many times since I saw that video. I need you to help convince me that not doing that was the right thing to do. Please. I’m all for shooting a sex tape. I’ve even done a couple myself. Keith, can’t you wait to do this until after she turns eighteen and you’re no longer her guardian? At least if she chooses to become her own guardian.”

“I’ve asked myself that too. And if I need too I believe I can hold off until then. Can you Heather?” Keith said.

I was feeling light-headed. Things were happening so fast. I had to sit down.

April looked even paler than I felt and asked, “It’s not too late already is it? You’re not ... pregnant?”

My head shot up without me really thinking, “No! Heavens no. I’m not pregnant. We’ve been using protection lately and ... whoa, um.” I cleared my mind then my throat, “As much as I love the idea of having Keith’s children we both have agreed that now would be bad timing. With me still being under his care and all.”

April grinned then said, “So you’ve already talked about having babies. Interesting.”

“So does this mean you don’t want to know how long we’ve been doing it?” Keith asked.

“I’m your ex. I don’t really need to know that,” she told him with a slightly disgusted look.

“Why we’re doing it?” I asked.

“I already know that. You’re in love. I can see it on both of your faces when you think nobody’s looking. Why do you think I broke it off with him? I wanted to make it easier for him to be with the woman he really loved. I know that’s bad to say since I was a cop at the time. But I didn’t expect you’d be having sex already.” She looked back at Keith. “Please tell me. Why didn’t you take better care of the video?”

“That would be my fault actually. We had a safe for it and when I was putting in a new memory card I did it when the safe was open. I dropped the new card. I didn’t realize I picked up the wrong one,” I admitted. I had been really excited when I was making the change.

“Now that you heard that, can you explain what you meant?” Keith questioned.

“I thought I kind of already had. I’m not going to turn you in. I care too much for both of you. You’re the closest thing I have to a family. Like you two I can’t afford to lose that,” she said.

“Is there anything we can do to show our gratitude?” Keith asked.

April nodded. But didn’t say anything for a while, “On my way here I thought of what I could say to you if you asked me to keep this a secret. I thought I could say I wanted a threesome, then reveal that I was kidding. But what I really want is for you to be yourselves. Do you think you can do that while holding off on sex until it’s legal?”

Keith and I looked at one another then nodded. I said, “I’ve grown to love our sex life but I think that we can do that.”

I was screaming internally. I didn’t want to hold off on sex. It’ll be months till December.

A few days later while Keith was at work both Josh and Candy were visiting.

“I can’t believe how red Josh’s face was when his mom walked in on us,” Candy said.

I got a sense of what Candy had seen as Josh blushed again.

“I didn’t expect my mom to make such a big deal out of it.” Josh did a really poor impression of his Mom’s voice, “Oh, my son’s becoming more of a man each day. Thanks to you Candy dear. You two have got to get married one day.”

Candy nudged him, “She didn’t say that last bit. You’re being overly dramatic.”

“I was reading between the lines. If you knew my Mom you’d know that was practically what she meant. She was just so happy. She’d been trying to teach me to dance for years. And when she found you teaching me she considered you part of the family then and there,” Josh said.

I laughed then said, “Just imagine if she had caught you two having sex. That would have been something. Yikes.”

Josh turned even redder.

Candy’s face paled and she said, “She already has caught us. Kind of.”

“How did she kind of catch you?” I asked.

“We had been playing video games. We eventually got in the mood. But because my Mom and sister were home we didn’t get undressed. I unzipped my pants and um ... you know. And she lifted the back of her skirt and pulled aside her panties. I laid back and she got on top of me,” Josh lost his nerve to say anymore.

Candy added, “We were both very close to reaching our,” Now it was Candy’s turn to blush. “climaxes. We were about to pull apart when we heard the door to his room open. I panicked, sat down, and grabbed the controller for the game, and made a big show about beating him in the game. I froze when I felt him shooting off inside of me. Luckily his mom thought it was because she had surprised us.”

“At least she didn’t catch you because you had made a sex tape and she found it,” I said.

Candy jumped up and said, “Oh my God. You made a sex tape and someone found it! Wow. That makes me feel so much better than what we told you.”

Josh looked really interested in what I had to say.

Nervously I said, “I didn’t say that. Exactly.”

“So did you make a tape?” Josh asked.

The doorbell rang. I was thankful for this distraction.

April stood at my door, “We need to head to the studio now. We’re needing to film a few scenes.”

“Film a few scenes? What are you filming?” Candy asked with a sly smile.

“Oh behave. It’s not what you think,” I told her.

Candy seemed a little disappointed but she let things go at that. I tried to call Keith but I was sent directly to voice mail and even that was full and I couldn’t leave a message that way. I just left a note for him. April tried to reassure me to not be worried about Keith. She also told me that since this was just for test footage things wouldn’t be done as nicely or completely as they would be when it was the real thing. Keeping that in mind it still took a while to apply my makeup. It was awkward for me to get into my costume without damaging the makeup. But the strangest thing for me was getting used to my new lightsaber.

As I walked onto the set in my makeup and costume I ran into April.

“Oh, you look great. But I get the sense something’s wrong. What is it?” April asked.

I moved my top a bit and said, “Either this top shrank or my boobs grew. It seems tighter than it did when I tried it on the other day.”

April looked a little worried then said, “We’ll have to fix that later. But for now, we have to get ready. Do you know what’s going on in this scene?”

I nodded, “I believe my character had just put a hold on building her lightsaber because she sensed some younglings in need. She had been overwhelmed and she’s trying to persuade them to let the younglings go. Then someone comes to help her and the ones she tried to save. Am I right?”
