Chapter 5: Twincest

Wednesday arrived as Hunter and Harrison left to work. It was their first day working with Tristian and the brothers were excited.

“I hope that this works out,” Hunter said.

“Me too,” Harrison followed up as they pulled into the parking lot.

Hunter and Harrison noticed Tristian standing outside the door waiting.

“Wow, early.” Hunter mentioned to Harrison.

“I like that,” Harrison replied as he got out of the car.

“Hey, Tristian. What’s up?” Harrison said as Hunter followed him towards the store.

“Hey. Not much. Ready for the day.” Tristian said with excitement.

They all entered the store as Hunter walked Tristian over to the counters and began showing him the store system. Harrison noticed that there were two laptop sections on the table with no laptops and headed towards the storage room.

“Gonna get two laptops to put out for today,” Harrison said as he opened the tall black door.

“Sounds good, I will be working with Tristian up here for today,” Hunter followed up, then turning towards Tristian and explaining the system further.

Harrison fumbled with various laptops in the storage room and came across an old laptop of their parents. He noted to himself to take that home after work. Harrison quickly grabbed the laptops and a bag that contained their parents’ laptop. He walked out and noticed Tristian handling a customer. Harrison was not surprised to see a customer so early after opening and walked towards the counters.

“Hey, ma’am. Find everything alright?” Harrison asked the lady at the check-out.

“Yep, thank you!” The lady replied cheerfully.

Harrison walked into the office where he found Hunter grabbing the tablet and some papers. “Filing some paperwork?” Harrison joked.

“Totally.” Hunter sarcastically replied as he walked towards Harrison and gave him a kiss.

Hunter had seen Tristian looking shocked to see the two kiss and mentally noted that for later. He had hoped this would not be the end of a potentially great work relationship. Some people still are not use to incest and oftentimes may react negatively, even though it was legalized in the late 2020s. He proceeded to walk towards Tristian and placed the tablet and paperwork on the bottom part of the counter, between the employee and customer sides.

“This is paperwork for your job, including information on how to navigate our employee website for information on the store,” Hunter said, hoping to avoid the inevitable.

“Thanks,” Tristian replied as he looked back towards the monitor.

Hunter walked back to the office, “I need to check on something and I will be right back,” he said. He opened the door and quickly closed it. “Uh, Harrison...”

“Yeah?”

“So, Tristian saw us kiss and he had a shocked expression on his face. He was kind of quiet out there and I am so hoping I am just overreacting,” Hunter said without taking a pause.

“Babe, you might be overthinking this. Sometimes people kissing, especially at work, might surprise them, not repulse them,” Harrison responded and gave Hunter a hug.

“You are right. I think I am just overthinkin’ it.”

Hunter walked back out after his refreshing talk. Tristian was helping a customer and making a sale on a newer laptop. Hunter walked over towards Tristian and began looking at the second computer.

“Thank you for shopping at H&H!” Tristian said enthusiastically.

“Good job,” Tristian said.

“Thank you!”

“How are you liking it so far?” Hunter asked as he looked down towards the computer.

“I love it.” Tristian replied.

“I am glad.”

Hours passed by as Tristian became more comfortable with the job. It took no time for him to handle the store’s unique system and the customers with no need for training or supervision. Hunter went to the back office where Harrison was and let Tristian work solo. Harrison needed to head to Clarksdale before 4 pm to get information on a building for sale in the area. He left and said he would try to be back before closing or as soon as possible.

It was just five minutes before closing as Tristian was wrapping up the days sales and inventory. Hunter was waiting for the inventory list to make sure all supplies were restocked. The store closed and Hunter completed the inventory with Tristian. The two headed into the back office before Tristian headed out to his brother.

“You did a great job today!” Hunter said.

“Thank you. I enjoyed it.” Tristian said as he grabbed his phone and stuff from his locker.

“Take care and see you tomorrow,” Hunter said as Tristian walked towards the door.

“You, too.”

A few minutes pass by as Hunter was shutting down the computers in the office. He checked to make sure he grabbed everything before turning out the light. As Hunter walked toward the counters, he heard his phone make a ding noise.

“Be there in ten. Love you,” a text from Harrison read.

“Love you too, be waiting outside,” Hunter replied to the text.

He looked up and noticed Tristian’s brothers’ car still outside. “That’s odd,” he noted. Hunter approached the window and saw the two brother’s kissing in the car. Hunter was taken back, “I suppose this is how he felt,” Hunter whispered to himself, “Wow, this dude keeps getting cooler,” he continued. Christian and Tristian did not notice Hunter as they stopped their kiss and drove off. Hunter could not wait to tell Harrison what he had seen.

Harrison soon pulled in and Hunter walked out of the store. He got in and immediately told Harrison.

“Wow, that is ... something I did not expect,” Harrison said in surprise as he pulled out of the parking lot.

“Me neither, but it is nice to know we share a common relationship,” Hunter added as he fumbled through his bag.

“You know, if you cleaned that out and stop taking everything with you, you’d not have to fumble so much,” Harrison said sarcastically while smirking.

“Don’t make me hurt you,” Hunter replied.

“I will hold you to that, and you know it.”

“I have no doubt you will,” Hunter followed up with, “So, how much and can we make this dream real?”

“$150,000 for the building, plus all of the fees and taxes. I think so. We both loved the building, I got it from 200k to 150, so it is a big possibility.”

“That makes me so happy to hear,” Hunter said gleefully.

“It made me happy as well,” Harrison smiled and nodded towards Hunter.

After their drive home they noticed Mamaw and Papaw’s car was gone. “Hmm, must have went out. Take out for us tonight,” Harrison mentioned. “Agreed, maybe they left a note?” Hunter followed. “Possibly,” Harrison said as opened the door. They noticed the lights all out and quickly turned the light on in the foyer.

“Ah, here is the note.” Harrison said as he picked up the note on the table by the closet towards the right of the front door. “Looks like they went out for a ‘romantic evening’ ... or so Papaw says,” Harrison followed up after reading the note.

“Hmm ... Pizza then?” Hunter asked.

“Sounds good to me,” Harrison replied as he took his shoes off and walked towards the living room.

Hunter made their order for an XL cheese and veggie pizza with a drink. He sat down on the couch next to Harrison as he cuddled to him. “What do we want to watch tonight?” Hunter asked as he nuzzled into Harrison’s chest. “Something ... scary!” He said in a funny voice. “Sure,” Hunter replied.

Moments later the pizza arrived. Hunter walked to the door and greeted the pizza guy. “Hey, here is your pizza and drink.” The pizza guy said as Hunter took the pizza and handed him a tip. “Thanks, cutie.” He said as he walked away. Hunter thought, “Wow, cliché.” He walked back into the living room with the pizza and drink. “So, the pizza guy called me cute,” Hunter said while sitting the pizza and the beverage down on the coffee table.

“That is not surprising, you are hot.” Harrison said while opening the pizza box and grabbing a slice.

“Flattery gets you nowhere,” Hunter joked.

“Pizza does,” Harrison added.

They shared a laugh as Hunter went to the kitchen to grab ice and cups. He walked towards the foyer and noticed Mamaw’s crochet project sitting on the table just adjacent to the staircase. Mamaw had trouble moving her hands and took longer on her projects lately. Hunter approached the living room and saw Harrison sitting on the couch with the movie paused.

“Hey babe,” Hunter said handing Harrison his cup and grabbed the bottle of soda. “Thanks,” Harrison replied as he and Hunter poured their drinks.

“Ready for the movie,” Harrison asked as he grabbed a slice and got comfy.

“Yep, all ready now.” Hunter replied as he got closer to Harrison.

Nearly 30 minutes into the movie, Hunter noticed a now lightly snoring Harrison. He always loved seeing his love sleep, he felt like it was complete peace. Hunter snuggled close to Harrison as he grabbed the quilt that was thrown over the couch. It was around 2 am when Mamaw and Papaw returned to the two cuddled sleeping boys in the living room.

“Aren’t they cute?” Mamaw asked as Papaw took her jacket off.

“TV hogs is more like it, but sure.” Papaw joked as he walked toward the foyer closet and put their jackets away.

Mamaw walked over towards Hunter and Harrison giving them a goodnight kiss before heading to bed. Hours seemed to pass even faster as 5 am came around and Hunter woke up to the sounds of loud thunder and lightning brightening the living room from the window behind the couch.

“Wow... “Hunter said, shocked by the sudden abrupt awakening from a deep sleep. He then noticed something; Harrison was gone.

Shocked he had not noticed Harrison leave, he called for him, “Harrison?” Nothing. Hunter moved the blanket from him and walked toward the archway leading to the foyer.
