Prologue

This story begins during King Sen Di Khanda’s reign in the Di dynasty in the kingdom of Khanda in 699.

This is recorded in the memorabilia of the two kingdoms.

“In the spring of the year 699, King Sen received a bamboo flute littered with inscriptions from the Princess of The Lake. When the flute is played, enemies would get befuddled and turn away, sickness would be cured, women would have easy childbirth, rain would fall during drought, famine would disappear, the strong winds would stop and tempests at sea would become calm.

King Sen designated it a national treasure, and it was brought out every twenty years to wish peace upon the kingdom and the world.”
