“Keep her, them away from me Randy!”

“So you want only that from ‘Buddy Boy’?”

Janet hadn’t a clue; but neither did I. Sam, sweet, kind, innocent Sam now turned into... , I don’t know what? Some kind of Demon or Witch; like from that fable ‘Hansel and Gretel’. Before Janet might even answer, she merely pointed her hand towards her and motioned her to follow. I could only look. May and Jenna said nothing other than “OH!”.

The noise coming from the kitchen sounded like pots and pans being scattered about the floor in search of something.

May put some explanation to it when she said: “She’s looking for a cauldron or something big like it. I’d better explain about not starting a fire on the floor too. She is pretty much fixated on anything she could use her cauldron back home for.”

Jenna just shook her head.

“Sam, don’t kill her ... yet; and no fire on the floor here. Outside maybe and i am not going back to get you your precious pot; use something that will fit on top of the stove thing. Jen, look in the garage or outside too to find her some wood or thing to sir the pot with. Sam, and no blood on the floor, put her in the sink or the tub, in the bathroom, not the hot tub or pools. Sheesh Master, got to tell that girl how to do everything. If you make a mess, your cleaning it up Samantha!”

“What is she doing?”

“She will find out everything Janet knows. First if she doesn’t have her precious cauldron, she will cut off Janet’s head or if that’s too big for the pot, cut out her brains to fit. Then she will boil it for...”

“Wait a second! Sam can’t do that it will kill...”

“What’s the difference? now or later, this way ‘WE’ find everything out, if it’s not enough, well, nothing gained but nothing lost. It’s already too late, she turned her into...”

“Sam, stop! Stop right now Master Commands you! I won’t be happy if you disobey me Dear!”

That “Opps” coming from the kitchen did not sound encouraging.

“No worry, she probably just broke a fingernail or something!”

“Is she always like this?”

“No! I’ve never seen her like this, usually she just does whatever, she must really like you to listen. Is Janet the one with the cute butt that turns blue?”

“I told you, no one has a cuter butt of any color than you three.”

Methinks the Worm has Turned.

It did not take long before the Minx came out of the kitchen, a smile a mile long on her face. “Slave Janet will relate her story to Master now.” She then strutted back to the pool. A different Janet emerged, sniffling still and without anything on.

“I’mmmmmm ... s ... orry ... M ... M ... aster.”

Her story was well worth the long wait.

Her ancestor back 10 years after the burning(circa 1324) and 4 years before the last of King Phillips line were gone (1328) started to chronicle what had happened.

The Curse was directed at everyone responsible for the fate of the Templar Order, not just the King and not just in 1314. On that day in 1314(Friday 13 was back in 1307, when King Phillip had the French Templar arrested), 54 Templar Knights were burned on March 18, 1314, including Jacques de Molay and Geoffri de Charney. The slow roasting fire was reserved for The Grand Master and one other. No matter, the smoke had killed them well before the flames destroyed their bodies.

Their crimes, horrific as they were, had been fabricated; something the Vatican finally would admit to in 1308 before the arrests then in secret documents in 1628. Nevertheless...

Janet’s story went on and on. Several things stood out though. First we had a possible name, that of Geoffri de Charney. Second in the 666 years since the burning there were thousands of future curse receivers even in 1980 with more each year. If they all had to be killed, well...

After we heard those parts we wanted to hear I went to the pool inside, lifted Sam up the hugged and kissed her saying: “You made me very, very happy little girl.”
