Chapter 1
Silsbee Texas.
This is an insignificant town just northeast of Beaumont, Texas. You could consider it a suburb. The freeway bypassed the town to the southeast. And on the other side of that freeway was a Walmart supercenter. You pull it up on the Internet and you can get all kinds of information on it. Such as the peak shopping hours, what day has the peak shopping hours, and about the number of people doing that time.
There is even a satellite map, which could plan the perfect murder. The freeway would provide the exit, the frontage road would provide the vantage point. And if used by a nondescript white van without-of-state plates, no one will know where you came from. The details of how this crime to please not important. Because of the lack of evidence that will present itself.
The white van got on the frontage road and stopped with a direct line of sight to the front door of the Walmart. Estimated distance was about 200 yards. The van just parked and waited for about 30 minutes. Then the side door open about a foot. You cannot see inside, unless you have a direct line of sight you would not of seen the flash from the rifle. The door was open for less than a minute. And then was close.
“PHEWW...”
At the front door of the grocery side of the Walmart. It was a man in his 30s, full of tattoos, bringing out a cart of groceries. He seems of Latin descent, judging by the color of his skin, and how he wore his hair and mustache. He stood about 5 foot 10 inches, weighing in at least 350 pounds. He was an enormous man; dressed in a wife beater shirt, and a long pair of sweatpants. Other than this, he was unremarkable. Until his head blew apart.
It was good that the door close behind him as the back of his brain blew to pieces, banging up against the glass of the door. The resulting explosion cover the door with blood and brains and bone. He had died before he hit the floor.
There were people all around, people inside trying to leave, people outside the store trying to enter the store. Cars driving around looking for parking spaces, the parking lot was full of cars and there was no telling where the bullet came from. Most of the people stopped for a second in shock, and then they turned around and fled, screaming as they ran. Some people came up to look, and take pictures with the phones, and started messaging their friends, not realizing how lucky they are, not to be the target. The greeter at the store saw what happened and immediately found the manager and went to customer service to call 911.
The police upon arriving blocked off all the exits to the Walmart. They had to question all those people, to see what happened. When the chief of police showed up, he ordered all available police to converge at Walmart. The entire police force of Silsbee, Texas, who is now at the Walmart. I called an ambulance, to take the body to the morgue, for identification. They called the forensics team to take pictures, and to gather evidence, especially the bullet that caused all this damage. They will spend the next two days trying to find the bullet, as it had ricocheted and embedded itself in the wall near the front door.
All the other officers started taking statements. Several hours later, the people are still in the parking lot being questioned. The consensus was that this man just came out of the Walmart and then his head blew apart. They had heard only the head being blown apart, none of them had heard a gunshot. And yet from the size of the bullet said it had to come from a rifle, and that would have made a hell of a noise. After some consideration, they determined the rifle had a silencer on it. The shooter shot it from the freeway, to give them an excellent vantage point on the bridge.
