It was getting close to three o’clock in the afternoon and Sheryl thought about her life and her marriage. She loved her husband and her kids. Although Sheryl and Bill knew they had drifted into an open marriage they never sat down and talked about it to make it official.

Bill would be home in another few hours unless he called to say he was working late. Bill was a good provider and most of the time when he called he actually did have to work late. If it was on a Friday night his call usually meant he was going to visit his redhead mistress, Lilly MacDougal, for an evening of adulterous sex. Lilly’s husband worked the second shift. She knew she was not without sin and so did Bill because Sheryl admitted stepping out on him after she found out about him seeing Lilly. A year before Bill started seeing Lilly, Sheryl had two affairs but nothing lasting more than four weeks. Sheryl had memberships to three health clubs and used them for both exercise and a place to pick up men. She always went for the younger ones, preferably in their twenties.
