Chapter 9: Biased

San Diego, United States.

On the outskirts of the big city was a four-story apartment. The building looked new compared to the surrounding buildings, but it has been around for seven years. It was well maintained, with a small garden in front. Just then, a new tenant was moving into the building.

In the building, Lucas was carrying a heavy box as he climbed to the third floor. Inside, there were several things he had bought in recent days. Things like plates, cutlery, pans. That was the third box he was carrying, and today he was moving into this building.

Lucas, along with Rose and Caritas, thought hard about what to do with his life from now on. There was, however, a desire that did not conflict with his goals: to go to school. He had never been to school before and was now sixteen. Caritas and Rose didn’t seem to care, Caritas just wanted Lucas to meet more women, and at school, he would meet a lot of women his age. Rose, however, was glad Lucas could finally go to school since she knew this was one of his long-standing wishes.

From there, it was the choice of location, and Caritas suggested a big city and listed several different reasons. One of its biggest reasons was the concentration of capable women. She seemed desperate for Lucas to find more beautiful and capable women, which scared Lucas and Rose a little. Why the rush?

Caritas said Lucas can’t focus on ordinary women. According to her, although it’s okay for him to get in a relationship with one, it will be painful in the future, since not anyone can get a marriage contract. After choosing the location, Lucas spent a whole week with Rose. The two of them stayed together all the time, going on dates, having lunch and dinner together, traveling to scenic cities all over Peru ... They were romantic, sweet and beautiful days...

They had sex like rabbits for seven days straight. They just took breaks for lunch and their needs. Other than that, they spent the rest of their time fornicating. They were like this for a whole week, that’s when Caritas came and stopped both of them. She was pleased with the development but knew Lucas had more to do, couldn’t just stay with Rose all day. He had other women to go after.

Rose also knew she couldn’t stay that way, she only had three more weeks to choose the woman she was going to introduce to Lucas. The two then parted. Lucas went to San Diego, and Rose went back to Thorny Rose headquarters. She also had to take care of the paperwork for Lucas to go to school. Since he had never been to school before, she planned to use her connections to solve this.

As he climbed the stairs with the last box, Lucas was thinking about the last few days. If not for Caritas, it is quite likely that he and Rose would still be drowned in the pleasure of sex. Thinking about sex with Rose, he couldn’t help but get excited.

Lucas passed in front of an apartment and saw the number: 301. Following, he found his apartment, 302, and wondered if he should go greet his neighbor. Each floor had four apartments. The staircase is in the center, and when you enter the floor, it is split in two, left and right. Each side has two apartments, so Lucas was only concerned with the apartment next to his, 301.

As he will always have to pass in front of their door, it is important to greet them. Not to mention that in the future he plans to bring people to his apartment, such as friends or girlfriends, so it will be noisy, which may bother them. The apartments also have balconies that are only separated by a small wall. So no matter what, eventually he will interact with the neighbor.

‘As the future God of Love, I need to be kind to people, spread love. So I need to forge a friendly relationship with the people around me. This also includes all the people in this building, and especially my neighbor. Later, I will greet them.’

Closing the door of his apartment, Lucas set the box in a corner and began packing his things. Right now, Lucas doesn’t have many things as he decided to start a new life. Even these items he bought in the last few days, was grudgingly. He used the fifty thousand dollars he had separated before. But he only bought small things. For example, he had no furniture, no bed. He planned to have a part-time job, amass some money, and think of some way to make money.

Even before the whole God of Love thing, he was already planning to make money from scratch, now that he had the tablet, he knew he could think of something. Money is important to pick up girls.

After packing, Lucas waited a while, and finally the doorbell rang. Outside was a man carrying a mattress in his hand.

“It’s here, right?”

The delivery man asked, and Lucas quickly agreed. Bringing the mattress to the bedroom in the apartment, Lucas quickly removed the plastic and tested sitting on it.

“Sign here.”

The delivery man handed over a clipboard, and after Lucas signed, left. Picking up his pillow, Lucas lay back on the mattress he bought, looked up at the ceiling of the apartment, and smirked.

Maybe the mattress was too comfortable, Lucas became sleepy, and decided to take a nap.

Lucas got up from the mattress while checking the time on his watch. Looking at the balcony window, it was almost completely dark.

‘I need to buy some curtains.’

Lucas thought as he stretched and got up from the mattress. Although he didn’t bother earlier since he was tired, Lucas prefers to sleep in the dark, so he knew that if he wanted to take a nap in the afternoon, he had to buy some curtains.

‘Wow, here I am thinking of afternoon naps ... Never had time to take a nap before, this is so new to me... ‘

Lucas then heard a noise coming from his belly. Realizing his hunger, he yawned as he left the room looking for something to eat.

‘But I have nothing to eat... ‘

Although he had a good kitchen in his apartment, Lucas hadn’t bought the ingredients yet. He just bought the cooking tools.
