Chapter 1

A huge part of the economy was powered by slavery back in 1800’s most households had a slave or two working and slaves became as ubiquitous as today’s televisions are .But things were changing after a while the south had strong opinions about how slaves are to be treated and the north was leaning towards the view that slavery might be a little bit inhumane ,but both sides knew pretty well that fighting would be expensive and would make America susceptible to interference from other countries. It then that The lower citizens act was passed ,it was compromise between north and the south .

According to this act black people are free to work ,but have to follow a system of social credits ,if it reaches a certain point level they will be incarcerated and collared. This was win-win .As time progressed people started relying on machines than black servants and the blacks were pushed to outskirts .

The social credit system works like this ,a certain number of infractions are allowed per 5 years and white assault on white will be 3 infractions, a black assault on white will be 14 infractions, a white assault on black will be 0.5 infraction, if the white is a good Church going Christian then even the 0.5 infraction will be removed .The north became complacent as time went by and became more and more anti black .

“Lucas we need to talk..” his father Robert said

“About what “ Lucas responded

“Take a seat and we can talk “

“Is this about my college ? I have applied to the good ones , you need not worry”

“I am going to marry Susan.. “

Lucas knew that his father was dating Susan. It wasn’t like his father could keep on grieving his mother forever .He didn’t quite get, what his father was trying say .

“That’s great dad I get along with her just fine and it’s been three years since mom died ..I think she would have wanted you to be happy “Lucas said trying to encourage his father

“There is a thing you might want to know ..Susan has a black daughter…I thought you might have an issue with having a disgusting black as your half sister “ Robert said furrowing his brow.

“What do you mean she has a black daughter? “

“Well ..it’s a long story but I am going marry Susan and I thought it was only fair that you said it to you”

“It’s okay dad I think I could deal with that somehow”

Lucas neighborhood didn’t quite have many blacks around the ones around are usually collared ,he didn’t quite know what to expect. The next two months went smoothly , his father married Susan and then it was time for Susan and her daughter to move in with them together .

“Lucas ,I sorry that you have to live with her in the same house “ Susan said

Lucas quite didn’t understand Susan’s statement ,if she hated blacks why did she sleep with and why does it sound like she hates her own daughter .Lucas assured her that it wasn’t going to be a problem and could quite get along Her.

After a month Susan moved in with Robert along with her daughter Ashley .Lucas wasn’t quite expecting her to that gorgeous with Olive skin tone ,perky boobs sticking out from her t shirt ,she was three years older than him at 22 .
