Chapter 36: Alice and The Guys

Tuesday morning, June awoke to the sound of dishes clattering and the pleasant smell of bacon frying. She threw on the same clothes she had on the day before and headed to the kitchen. Her father and Autumn were seated at the table while her mother stood at the range, making their breakfast.

“Good morning,” June said as she sat down at the table.

“Do you want some breakfast, dear?” Her mother asked.

“Yes, please. That bacon smells delicious.”

“What are your plans for today,” June’s father asked.

“I haven’t made any plans. I do have to go to Roger’s and bring his newspaper and mail into his apartment. Other than that, I’ll play it by ear. Why do you ask? Do you need some help at the store?” June hoped her father would say yes. If he did, she would have an excuse to avoid Alice today.

“No. I was just asking. This time of year, the store is rather slow. I think your mother and Autumn will be more help than I need. Thanks for the offer, though.”

“You’re welcome. Don’t hesitate to ask me if you get busy.” June said.

“I won’t. You just enjoy your summer break. You only have a week or so before you start your new job. Enjoy yourself while you can.”

After her family left for work, June cleared the table, washed the dishes, cleaned the kitchen floor, and emptied the ashtray by her father’s chair in the living room. One quick glance around the room to make sure everything was in place, and June got herself ready to go to Roger’s. On the way, she wondered what Alice had planned for her today. June hoped that Alice would leave her alone today, but knew that was unlikely to happen.

June picked up the newspaper lying in front of Roger’s door and went inside. She laid the paper on the kitchen table, paused for a moment, then went to the phone and called Alice.

“Hello,” Alice’s voice sounded cheerful this morning.

“I’m here at Roger’s, Alice.”

“Oh, June. Good. Stay there. Joan and I will be over in a few minutes. We just want to talk a bit more today. Nothing like yesterday, just talk.”

“Alright. I’ll see you in a bit.” June hung up the phone and sat down on the sofa. As she sat, she wondered what else Alice had to say. Didn’t yesterday’s talk cover everything she wanted from her?

Ten minutes later, Alice and Joan came through the door. They both smiled at June as they sat down on the sofa.

“June, please stand in front of us. We have some news to tell you,” Alice said.

June stood in front of the cocktail table and started to take off her clothes. She was interrupted by Alice.

“No need to get undressed today, June. Just listen to our news. When I got home yesterday, I called a guy I know who works in the video/audio department at school. I asked him if he could borrow a movie camera and make a movie of you, Joan and I. Once I told him what kind of movie I had in mind, he jumped at the idea. He will bring the camera home tonight and will bring it to my apartment Thursday morning. He’ll need an assistant to set things up and take it all down when he’s finished. So there will be two guys there filming us. It’s a 16mm sound camera. Joan and I have already begun to write a script today. Can you come over this evening and go through it a few times? I’m talking about rehearsing the lines, not actually acting everything out. If you can’t make it tonight, we’ll have to spend most of tomorrow doing it.”

June was surprised by that news. She worried about having someone else making a sex movie with her and two other girls. “I’m not sure about tonight,” June started. “I usually spend the evenings with the family. I don’t know what excuse I could use to get out of the house.

“That’s fine, but how can we watch it? Do you have a 16mm sound projector and screen? June asked.

“I don’t, but he will lend us one from school. It’ll be free of charge, and we can have it for two weeks.” Alice replied.

June now knew that any hope she had of preventing herself from being in the filming of a movie was now gone. “I know it will be a sex movie, but what will the theme be?” she asked.

Who knows, you may get pissed off at me and show it to someone who knows me. It wouldn’t take long for the word to get around to my parents, and eventually to Roger. Also, you may decide to break your part of the agreement and use it to blackmail in the future.”

Alice stared at June for a long time before answering. “I would never go back on my word, June. I would never do anything to damage your reputation to Roger or anyone else in this town. You are very dear to me. I know that you think that, at times, I’m cruel to you, but do you know why I act that way towards you? It’s because it turns you on. Alice got up and put her arm around June’s shoulders and whispered, “Thank you, June.”

“I’m here at Roger’s, Alice,” June said as soon as she heard Alice’s voice answer. “Are you guys ready for me?”
