Chapter 121: One Week Later

If those two weeks leading up to the Teen Beauty Pageant went in a flash for Jessie Harper then the week between the opening night and the second night seemed to go in what felt like just a few minutes. One minute Jessie was doing her thing with the choir on that first night then the next minute it was Saturday again and she was down at the Super-mall with the gang getting ready for the second night of the Redsands Teen Beauty Pageant. The gang only had time for a slightly truncated get together on account of everyone having to get ready for the night’s entertainment ... in particular Chris, Tammy and Jessie. Jessie had to get down to the Festival Hall at least ninety minutes before curtain up to help organize the choir and herself for their part in the show and Chris and Tammy Maple had to head off quickly too, to get dressed up and schooled up on their MC-ing duties for the night. Despite the brevity of the get together everyone was in good heart and happy with the way things were going and it gave Jessie a chance to finally ask Chris and Tammy how they actually managed to get the MC’s job in the first place.

“You guys did such a fantastic job on stage last week. The body paint theme was just a knock-out. Who on earth thought of that idea?”

Chris was slurping away on a thick-shake when Jessie asked him and Tammy this question. He stopped mid-slurp and responded very quickly with, “Me! It was my idea. Tammy wasn’t too sure about it at first but all the organizers thought it sounded great, so, we did it!”

Shona jumped in at that point with, “ ... and did you know you got yourself a little stiffy when that girl touched your ‘doodle’?”

Chris suddenly founded himself blushing slightly at that point but just said, “Yer, I know. I guess that’s just what a guy’s dick does when a girl touches it - even a twelve year girl in an Elvis suit!”
