A lady 8 months pregnant got on the bus and sat across from a young man. He smiled at her. She was a bit creeped out and moved to another seat. He followed her with his eyes and grinned at her. She moved to a seat farther away and as she sat, he seemed even more amused. Upon her fourth move, he burst out laughing. She ran to the front of the bus, complained to the driver and had the man arrested.

In court the judge heard her testimony and then asked the young man for his side of the story. He replied.

When she first sat down, she sat under an advert that said, “The Doublemint twins are coming.” Given her condition, I found that amusing.

Then she moved and ended up under an advert that said, “Logan’s liniment will reduce that swelling.” and I thought that was funny as well.

The third time she moved, she sat under an advert that said, “Dial’s Big Stick did the trick.” and I nearly lost it.

The final straw was when she moved yet again and ended up with the sign that said, “Goodyear Rubber could have prevented this accident.” That’s when I lost it completely.

Case dismissed.
