The Darkling

October the 13^th 1998

A little passed midnight on this cold and wet fall night a dark figure stands outside the orphanage looking at the building. In the figures hands is a small baby basket inside the basket is a sleeping little boy that is going to be special. The figure places the basket on the steps and rings the bell and leaves a few minutes later and a nun opens the door and sees the sleeping little boy and picks him up and takes him inside.

October the 27^th 1998

Mr. And Mrs. Wolves, I am Mother Superior Sullivan I am the director of the facility I understand that you have decided to go ahead and accept him for adoption. May I ask what will you name him? Well ma’am we wish to name Michael Ethan Wolves you see Michael is for my father and Ethan is for my wife’s father Mr. Wolves said. Well Mr. and Mrs. Wolves let’s add those names to the documents and you can take Michael home with you the Mother Superior added. The next few years would roll on by before the Wolves and their 3 natural children would start to notice the difference in Michael from themselves. The difference were same at first when the Wolves brought Michael home his new parents had three natural children of their own but complications during her last delivery made it impossible for her to carry another baby to term. So they wanted the fourth child so bad that they adopted Michael and they all settled into a family.
