Chapter 6
The first thing she said at the Island, "Ok ... who are you?"
Which got Wendy the evil eye.
"I mean ... I don't know what I mean. I mean you look familiar and I feel that I should know you ... but lots younger," she said.
"We're not sure," Wendy said. This wasn't Wendy the first. She was just Wendy ... like our Wendy was just Wendy ... but ... ah ... what the fuck? The older Wendy said, "You could be me ... where's the watch?"
"I don't know. The last I saw it was on David's table."
"And you left it, why?" said the third Wendy ... who was Wendy Too.
"Who is David?" said just plain Wendy.
"It got run over by a trolley ... pieces ... lots and lots of little pieces and probably not all of it was on the table. It was raining cats and dogs and I was unconscious.
"He's the guy who rescued me," said young Wendy.
"What kind of a watch?"
"A big round clunker on a chain," Young Wendy said.
The two older Wendy's put their heads together. Something was decided ... then Too said, "Wait a minute. I had the pocket watch too."
"Shit! She could be either one of us."
