The air was redolent of burned ham and singed hair. The sweater dressed beautiful girl with the astounding cleavage must have heard something ... a moan or a groan ... or some slight change in the tone of one of the multitudinous machines attached to the patient in the chrome and white bed because her magazine fluttered to the floor as she leaped to her feet, gave out a squeak, and poetry in motion ... fled. From my position in the corner of the ceiling of the obvious hospital room I could read the title of the tome so rudely tossed.
