Historical: From Private to General, Ben is always one step ahead of all the others. He is a family man and a man of commerce but his first love is to smell the acrid stench of gunpowder in the morning air and hear the sound of hooves as cavalry flank an enemy position. He is admired, hated and called both a Hero and a Traitor. History has judged him but is history correct?

Background: The time is during the decade that immediately preceding the American Revolution. The scenario centers on Connecticut and the adjoining colonies as they become more aware of the fact they will soon be fighting a formidable adversary with little likelihood of quarter should they be defeated. The characters are all real and well-known. The Battles are real and the results are documented as fact. Only the motivations, the tactics and the personal thoughts are sheer speculation on the part of the author.
