Chapter 1
He was in a rush. Traffic was horrible and getting through security took forever. Running through the airport he was desperate to make his flight. Just as he stepped up to the gate he heard them calling his name. When the agent saw his name on his ticket, she commented they were just going to give his seat to another passenger.
Once on the plane, it was easy to find his seat since it was the only one empty. He put his briefcase in the overhead bin and slipped into his seat. When he looked over, he was stunned to see his fellow passenger. She looked just like a woman he’d been corresponding with over the internet. Surprised he asked, “Diana?”
Surprised, she responded, “Paul?”
“Yes. This is amazing. What are you doing on this flight?”
“I’m on my way to deal with an account that needs special care in Seattle. Where are you headed.”
“I’m on my way to see my daughter. But this is the plane for Denver.”
“I know. There were no straight fights and everything else had hours of long layover. Even though this flight stops in Denver, I don’t have to get off. It goes straight on to my destination.”
“How come you never texted me? I sent you the numbers; 9480207. Why didn’t you text me or email me you travel plans?”
“I tried, several times. I must have the wrong address and the wrong numbers. What is it again?”
“Paul14541@ Hotmail dot com.”
“Damn! That’s what I did wrong, I had outlook.com. I’ll remember that for sure now.”
