Chapter 1: Meeting Daphne – Kate I .1 - Friday

Fantasy Sex Story: Chapter 1: Meeting Daphne – Kate I .1 - Friday - A controlled corporate attorney wakes tied to her own bed by a naked stranger who knows her name and claims it’s “for your own good.” The young woman has been quietly tangled in her life for months—leaving signs, steering events, and creating a strange current between them. What follows is a tense night of revelations about the firm, the last six months, and unsettling supernatural abilities. Dry, first-person, focused on the emotional shift more than explicit detail.

Waking to find myself being tied to my own bed was not the end of the work week I was expecting. Looking back, it was the start of ... whatever this was. Easier if I just tell you.

My name is Kathryn Daniels. I’m an attorney employed by the firm McCormick, Weiss, and Daniels, no relation. It was Friday night. The past six months had been a bit hectic and definitely out of the ordinary. Just when I thought things would be settling back down and returning to normal, I went to bed just before midnight and fell asleep almost immediately. Only to wake some time later to find both wrists and one ankle tied to my brass bed frame. As I shifted surveying my situation, the metal frame creaked faintly. A girl, petite, late teens, possibly early twenties, was deftly securing my remaining ankle. Oh yes, she was also naked. How she managed to restrain me to this extent was beyond me.

I yanked my one free leg away. She looked up and said, with calm authority, “Kathryn Marie Daniels, where do you think you’re going? Both arms and one leg are already secured. Do you really think you can untie yourself with one foot?”

She actually stepped back, motioning with her arms, saying, “Go ahead, I’d love to see you try.” My wrists were secured above my head. She had a look of impatience as she stared into my eyes. Motioning again, she said, “Go ahead, I could use a good laugh.”

Glaring at her, I raised my one free leg, saying, “I can still kick the...”

The moment I raised the leg she deftly had the rope around the ankle and was securing it to the bed frame. Once she was done she looked at me, saying, “I’m not going to hurt you. This is for your own good.”

“So says Psycho Tinkerbell.” I could see she was very short.

She went around the bed, tightening each restraint, spreading my legs wider and stretching my arms overhead until the ropes bit gently into my wrists.

“You should just grab the railing above your head,” she said. “I’m worried you’ll get rope burns.”

“Thanks,” I said, the word loaded with mock sincerity. I grabbed the rail, mostly just to humor her. But it did help.

And then something odd hit me: I wasn’t scared. I was annoyed. It was the middle of the night, I was tied to my own bed by a naked stranger, and all I felt was annoyance. What is wrong with me?

She sat beside me, placing one hand on my stomach and reaching up to stroke my hair with the other. “I mean it,” she said quietly. “I’d never harm you. I’d never let anyone else harm you. I’d do almost anything to stop someone from even hurting your feelings.” Her voice was soft in a way that felt genuine, and her touch sent a strange warmth through me — a low, steady hum just beneath my skin. She leaned back and began to rub my stomach gently.

When she saw my hands gripping the rail, she said, “Good girl,” and went around and loosened the ropes at my wrists and ankles. The pressure faded from my skin.

She started talking again, but I’ll admit I wasn’t listening. Her hand had slid under my nightshirt — a long Superman t-shirt, Big Bang Theory fan — and she was tracing slow circles on my bare stomach. The sensation was difficult to describe. Not electric, not quite physical — more like something subtle moving between us, in both directions.

I interrupted without thinking, nodding toward her hand. She stilled it, laying her palm flat against my skin. The sensation spread to fill the whole of her hand.

“Yes?” she asked, with a small smile.

“That feeling — from your hand. What is it?”

“No idea,” she said. Then: “Though it feels to me like it’s coming from you. Like you’re the one starting it.”

Her reply was so automatic I knew instantly she’d experienced this before and had thought about it. How and when ran through my head. As a lawyer, my instinct was to question and/or argue. Given my current situation, I decided against it. Instead I said, in my most composed, conversational tone, “Could you repeat what you were saying? I was distracted.”

She glanced down at her hand and said, calmly, “Understandable.”

She began again. But my attention had already drifted. I’d called her Tinkerbell, but she was the opposite of blonde: black hair braided from the front and wrapped around to the back, the rest flowing down her back and shoulders. The style was beautiful and somehow didn’t look modern. Her face was striking — the features and skin of a teenager, but her eyes and the way she carried herself suggested something much older. Something more. Her body was compact and athletic, gymnast-like. She stood barely over five feet. She was lovely, completely naked, and completely unselfconscious about it.

At some point during this inventory, she had stopped talking. She was watching me watch her, one hand now tracing two fingers slowly up and down my sternum. My body responded before my mind caught up. Something under the thin fabric had tightened at her touch. She cleared her throat and asked, with elaborate patience, whether I’d always had trouble concentrating.

I tried for a smirk. My mouth managed it. My eyes, I think, showed something closer to confusion.

Still moving her hand, she asked if she should start over again — with pointed emphasis on the word again.

“Please,” I said. Just as politely. Just as sarcastic.

She smiled and began once more. She told me there were two reasons she had tied me up. Then she stood, still talking, and walked to the master bathroom. Her voice carried back through the open door: “Remember, six months ago, bumping into something outside your building?”

She returned carrying a pair of unusual scissors. She sat back down and began cutting my t-shirt from the neckline downward. I looked at the shirt. Then at her.

“Don’t worry — I replaced it. Same shirt, in your nightshirt drawer,” she said, unbothered by my expression.

“How do you know what’s in my dresser?”

“Please focus, sweetheart.” Her green eyes held equal parts exasperation and amusement. “Do you remember bumping into something outside your building?”

I glanced at the scissors still working their way down my shirt. “Yes,” I said, carefully. Then asked: “Where did those scissors come from?”

“Focus.” She took a breath. “We’ll cover the details at breakfast. Right now I need you to stay with me.”

“Tomorrow at breakfast” landed a beat late. “Breakfast?!” I said.

“FOCUS,” she snapped at me.

“Fine,” I said, giving her my best what-is-your-problem look. She’d finished the cut. I’m fairly busty, and the shirt fell open.

In a strained voice, she tried again. “The bump outside your building. You remember?”

“Yes,” I said, squinting at her. Thinking back to that day, I remembered leaving my apartment in the early morning, telling myself there was no need to rush. There would be plenty of time to get things organized. The evening before, just before leaving the office, my supervisor, Brian Malone, said he needed to talk with me first thing in the morning. I assumed it had to do with the Real Rally merger with RoadRunner Auto. Brian already didn’t care for me. There was no way I was going to give this slimmed-down Buddy Ebsen ammunition to criticize my work. I swear there was more meat on a scarecrow in the middle of a farmer’s field than there was on that man. All the legal work the firm was contracted to do, that meant my work, was done. It was done a week early.

So that morning, briefcase in hand, I left my apartment building. The street was quiet, the city just waking up. The smell of the ocean was in the air. A scent I’d learned to love since moving here. A sudden jolt shot through my arm—not painful, but wrong, like grazing a wall that wasn’t there. Something small flickered at the edge of my vision, but when I turned, there was nothing. A breeze crossed my arm. Looking down, I saw skin showing through a six-inch oval hole in my blazer and blouse. On the ground lay two clean-cut pieces of fabric—no tears, no frayed edges, as if someone had taken scissors and cut them out. I stood there staring, my brain stuck on one question: what the hell just happened?

I grabbed the pieces and studied them closely, just a couple of inches from my eyes. I’d never examined fabric cut by scissors this carefully, but I didn’t think even the sharpest scissors could cut this cleanly. It simply didn’t look natural. After a minute I broke out of my daze. Deciding to table what had just happened for now, I rushed back upstairs to change, grumbling about ruined clothes and wasted time. While changing, I noticed that my arm where the fabric had been removed was fine—no marks, no redness or irritation. As I dressed, I started coming up with explanations. The best one was that Scotty had transported the fabric up to the Enterprise and then back down, but missed. By the time I arrived at the office, the incident was almost forgotten, until now.

“That was me,” she said, and went back to cutting

“What?”

“Think about it, Kate. Didn’t you catch something at the edge of your vision? Dark hair, maybe. Skin.” She finished the cut toward my left shoulder, then spread her arms wide and looked at me, waiting, as if I should recognize something.

I looked her over quickly.

She said, slightly teasingly, “My eyes are up here, sweetheart. Focus.”

I rolled my eyes at her.

She started on the shirt’s right shoulder.

“Do you always go around invisible and naked?” I said, with all the sarcasm I had left. I wasn’t annoyed anymore, I realized. Something about her had my attention — not in the way she probably intended, but in the way of a story heading somewhere interesting. I wanted to know the destination.

She pulled the ruined shirt out from under me. “Yes,” she said. “And when you’re invisible, being naked doesn’t matter much. Obviously.”

Then she looked at me — really looked — and said, “You’re very beautiful. It’s wonderful you’ve started using that smile more. It puts a smile on my face.”

She reached out and ran two fingers down the side of my left breast. That current — whatever it was — felt stronger now, noticeably so. My breath caught. My eyes followed her hand without my permission.

“What IS that?” I asked, more forceful than I intended.

“No idea,” she said. “But I have a suspicion.”

She picked up the scissors again and cut away my underwear in two clean snips, pulling them free and tossing them by the rag that used to be my t-shirt.

“Who are you?” I asked. “And why are you doing this?”

“Good,” she said warmly, looking down at me. “You’re paying attention.” She reached for my robe from the chair beside the bed and slipped it on. “This is one of the reasons I tied you down — I didn’t want you panicking and hurting yourself. Don’t get scared. I promise you: in a day, two at most, this—” she gestured vaguely at herself, “—will all seem ordinary.”

I had already felt there was no reason to be scared of her. But I was getting cold, naked on top of the sheets, my annoyance returning. I began to say something when she simply vanished. The robe dropped to the floor.

My heart stopped. My eyes and mouth froze open.

A moment later — a second, a minute, I couldn’t tell — her voice came from the bathroom: “You okay? I’m assuming you’re a bit shocked.”

I was still staring at the place where she had been. My mouth opened and closed. No sound came out.

She came back into the room carrying a few things, setting them down between my legs. “Kathryn.” Her voice was firm. My eyes finally focused on her. “You okay?” She studied my face, then leaned down and gave my lips a quick kiss.

That same hum — the one that came with her fingers — was in her lips too. I came slowly back to myself and managed, “That was magic.”

She smiled — bright, genuinely pleased. “Thank you. I haven’t kissed anyone in a very long time. And never a woman. It’s nice to know I haven’t lost the knack. Was it better or worse than other women you’ve kissed?”

“What?” I said.

“The kiss —”

“Not the kiss,” I said. “The disappearing.”

She continued as if I hadn’t spoken: “Though I have to say, if that’s how you kiss, you could use some practice.”

I gave her the kind of look that should have left a mark. It made her smile wider. I almost smiled back.

Almost.

“The disappearing,” I said. “How’d you do that?”

She claimed it was completely real. She was still present — still there in the room — but invisible and untouchable. No one could see her or interact with her. She couldn’t even interact with herself; her own hands passed through her own body. She could sense herself but not touch her own face or her own body.

I looked at her. “So I could wrap my arms around you right now — and you could just vanish. I’d be holding nothing.”

She replied, “No.”

“Ha!” I said.

She replied, “Any other person in the world, that would be true. Just not you. I can’t prove every other person in the world, but definitely for you. That’s why we’re here.”

She told me to lift my hips off the bed. “Why?” I asked. “I need to put this under you so the bed doesn’t get wet.” For some insane reason, I actually lifted my hips, and she slid what looked like a towel with waterproof backing under me.

“Why would the bed get wet? Wet with what?” I asked suspiciously.

She replied, “A little water, some shaving cream, lotion.”

“Shaving cream?” I said questioningly.

“Yes, I am going to shave you.”

“What!?” I said sharply, almost yelling.

Giving me a concerned look, she said, “Trust me, with that jungle you don’t want to wax.”

“Excuse me.” was my indignant reply.

Ignoring me completely, “I just think shaved is prettier. Plus, I think you will enjoy the sex more after you are shaved. Now stop interrupting and let me get on with my story.”

“What!?” I almost yelled again.

“My story, quit interrupting,” was her reply with an annoyed tone.

Ignoring me, she continued with her task by putting a warm, wet washcloth over the area. Then she started into her tale. “I learned to do what I call phase out and phase in a couple of days after we bumped into each other. So, when we bumped into each other ... No, I need to go back even farther to have this make sense. You will need to know a bit of my history.”

“Make sense,” I said scornfully. She ignored me. Taking up the wet washcloth, she shook a small can of shaving cream then sprayed some out. As she spread the warm shaving cream, she grinned, her green eyes glinting. “Your skin’s so fair and smooth already, makes me jealous. You don’t even have any tan lines.” Her tone was light, almost sarcastic. “How can you live this far south and not have a tan line?” I hardly noticed because I was getting distracted by the familiar sensation that came with every touch.

The sensation was not unpleasant. The warm cream felt soothing, but I forced my thoughts to focus on where she’d got that shaving cream—I don’t own any. But I didn’t interrupt. She seemed quite touchy about being interrupted.

Continuing her story, “A long time ago, I was tending my father’s sheep.” Interrupting her own story, she said, “This is the real short version. We can go into more detail tomorrow at breakfast.” I rolled my eyes at the mention of breakfast again. She didn’t notice.

She continued, “A storm came up very quickly and was moving very fast. I ran to hide in a nearby cave. I made it to the cave just in time as the rain started coming down very hard. It was a really awful storm, the lightning especially bad. All of a sudden, I saw a round, glowing ball of light in the sky. I’d never seen anything like it before or since. All of a sudden, that ball started falling, then it seemed to be heading toward the cave, really fast. I froze, closed my eyes really tight, and took a couple more steps back. Before I knew it, all I could see was white light, even though my eyes were closed. Then it felt like I was on fire. The burning feeling lasted such a short time it seemed almost like a memory of being on fire, if that makes sense.” She paused as if remembering.

“Opening my eyes, it was still raining, the lightning still bad. I don’t think any time had passed, but I wasn’t sure. There didn’t seem to be anything wrong with me. The world looked slightly different, almost like there was a slight haze. I went to rub my eyes, and my hands went right through my face.”

With that, I interrupted, “What...?”

“Yes, it was quite disconcerting. I actually started looking around for my head,” she said with a little smile on her face and a shake of her head, like someone remembering a very old joke. This was the first time I got the feeling she was more mature than she appeared. I couldn’t help but mumble just loud enough for her to hear, “I’m not sure you actually found it.”

She gave me an amused smile, then continued.

“It took me a moment to realize that if I could see, my head must still be attached,” she said with a laugh. “I then took inventory of the rest of my body. That’s when I realized I was naked. My robe was around my feet. Kind of ... I wasn’t standing on the robes; the robes were not around my feet. My feet were hidden by the robes as if the robes went through my legs and hid my feet.”

She looked down, making a small gesture toward her feet.

“I lifted my foot, and it passed right through the robes. I bent over to pick up the robe with my hand, and my hand passed through the robes. And my hand also went right through my leg. I tried to clap my hands together, and they went through each other. My hand went through my body, through the cave wall. I could touch and feel nothing.”

Her voice caught, and her eyes seemed to be looking toward something far away.

“I started running out of the cave toward my father’s house in a complete panic. Halfway there, I realized I wasn’t wet or cold; the rain was passing right through me. The rest of the way I walked in a daze. When the house came into view the door was closed. Rushing to push it open, I passed straight through it. My mother was at a table with my youngest sister. I started crying and asking for help. Neither one even noticed me. I tried to touch them, touch anything. My hand passed through everything and everyone.”

Her thoughts seemed far away. She snapped back, saying, “I’ve kind of been wandering ever since.”

She stopped talking and looked at me. “That was my life until I bumped into you. Obviously, there is a lot more we can get into later.”

I just stared back. She had a wistful smile while looking at me, seeming to consider me. Fairy tale, I thought to myself.

“So, after bumping into you, the second biggest shock of my life,” she said, looking me straight in the eyes, giving me an endearing little smile.

“After I bumped into you, I followed you around all that day. You got that assignment. During that meeting in your office, that other guy, Brian—I assumed he was your superior—struck me as a little funny. Something didn’t sit right with me. So, I hung around his office most of the day and a lot of that week. You know what I learned,” she said.

“You left me all those very non-cryptic, very specific notes about what he and the others were up to,” I said with a frown. Then added, “Who taught you to write? Your handwriting is atrocious.”

Ignoring my barb, she replied, “You figured out even more on your own and how to prove what I was telling you. That was the hardest part of the whole mess. I admit, I was a big help though.”

“So, that was you with all the notes. About the office plot, the fraud around the acquisition, and planned stock manipulation,” I responded.

My brain was now working feverishly, trying to figure out how she could have gotten all the information she passed on to me.

She saw my expression and knew what I was trying to figure out. Interrupting my thoughts, she leaned in close, so close I could feel her breath. She said, “When other people can’t see you but you can see and hear everything they say and do, that makes gathering information easy.” Then she disappeared with her face less than an inch from mine.

I just froze. About five seconds later, she reappeared again, an inch in front of my face. She said, “Believe me now?” Then disappeared. Five seconds later, she reappeared, smiling across the room. She spent the next minute appearing and disappearing all around the room, sometimes an inch from my face, sometimes across the room.

I finally yelled, “STOP!”

Two seconds later, she was standing by the bed. She shrugged and asked, “Do you believe me?”

She sat on the bed again, putting her hand on my chest. She had to feel my heart racing. She asked me in an almost sympathetic tone, “Believe me?”

I said, “Yes ... I don’t know. Just don’t start doing that again.”

She leaned down and kissed me on the lips again, then said, “That means you believe me. Good. Now that’s out of the way. Let’s get back to my favorite subject, you.”

Still working to gather myself and not sure I believed her, I asked with a tone of sarcasm, “And with whom do you talk about me?”

She said, “There we go, that’s the lawyer I know and love.” Continuing with a smile, she said, “Right now, just you. Starting Monday, all your friends and coworkers. When I make friends, them. Now be quiet, and let’s finish this tale of crooked coworkers and stock market cheats. I gave you excellent tips and clues, but you put everything together.” Getting serious, she asked, “Do you think you would have figured it out?”

I shrugged as best I could, saying, “I’d like to think so,”

“Just as fast?”

“No, go ahead and gloat.” I said.

“I’m not gloating,” she said, “just happy you met with Tom before they fire you that afternoon.”

This took me by surprise. My face must have shown it. I knew I was on thin ice, but didn’t realize things had gotten that bad.

Smirking, the girl said, “Did you think that screaming match with Brian went unnoticed?”

Remembering it vividly, I’d never lost my temper before, ever. It was about a week before I went to Tom. A lot of the work that should have been completed was mostly ignored. I did turn in some hastily thrown-together documents just to keep Brian off my back. Looking back at the girl I said, “I’m surprised they didn’t do it earlier”

Patting my leg, she said, “Tom adores you. You’re the daughter he never had. But, he was ready to do it.”

“Can we not talk about the TideCore Systems acquisition. I lived it. You obviously know all about it.”

“I told you I love talking about you.” She had a half-smile. Turning serious, she continued, “Brian was neck-deep in this scheme. He was working with one of the executive board members at TideCore, and they brought other people in, both from TideCore and outside the company. We’re talking about hundreds of millions of dollars. I have a feeling those people are going to be very unhappy with Brian now that the whole thing has fallen apart.”

“I don’t care. I’m just happy it’s over,” I said.

She continued, “Your firm is very happy with you, and they all think you have a bright future there. You know, they are going to make you a Managing Associate and fast-track you to a partnership.”

“How do you know?” I asked, staring intently at her, everything else literally driven out of my head. I’m a little driven when it comes to work, sue me...

She gave me another smile. Saying, “I’m very proud of you.” She was growing on me. She may have had me tied down and naked on my own bed, but there was something very endearing about her. Okay, maybe not the sanest thought, considering she’s got me trussed up like this.
