Chapter 4: The Massacre

At 10 minutes before mid-night, we see the lights coming down the road. What a bunch of amateurs! They cut the lights before they got to the house, but their engines stopped in front of the house. All the lights were out in the house so they get out and stood in front of the vans. The one who seems to be the leader tells them to just walk up on the front porch and kick in the door. He picks six to search downstairs and the others to go upstairs. They are to kill all the men in the house but not any women. He wants the blonde alive. We are maybe 50 feet from where they stopped the vans so we could hear them plain as day.

In a group they start to walk up the drive to the house. Suddenly the flood lights come on. Some actually put a hand over their eyes like they were trying to see what was happening. No one thought to get out of the kill zone. Most died in the first few seconds. I was firing within my primary direction of fire, and I could hear that pump shotgun of Debbie’s firing until she was out of ammo. By then all the screaming had stopped and only a few were moaning. I had seen fire from the attic windows, so I knew Grandma Becky and Aunt JJ were in on the killing. Funny thing I don’t think the gang even got off one shot.

Mike gave the order to cease fire and move online through the kill zone. The lights were still on, so it was just like daytime. I heard a pistol fire. Captain Jack shouted, “Remember no prisoners”. Then another round went off. After that it was an eerie silence.

Grandma Becky was the first out the door.

“The one leaning over the van is mine.”

We looked and saw a big black woman lying dead on the hood of the van. She had a rifle under her.

“She was on over watch for them. I saw her and I got her before she got a shot off.”

Grandma Becky was striding over to her with a knife in hand. She grabbed the woman by the hair and proceed to scalp her! I saw Debbie walking around looking at the different faces. She found one she knew!

“Well hello Rufus. Remember me?”

“Please Debbie I need a doctor. I can’t feel anything from my neck down. Please!”
