Chapter 11: Her Turn

Incest Sex Story: Chapter 11: Her Turn - When Cass told her father she was gay, he didn't get angry. He smiled, and decided a girl who wants girls just never had the right man — and that he'd be the one to prove it. To both of us: she was mine and I was hers, in secret, and had been for a year. He used my paintings to get close. Made me watch. Then made me part of it. By fall he had both our bodies and thought that was all of us. It wasn't — and the part he never reached is why we'll never get out.

The night he took the rest of me, school had been back a week, and he made grilled cheese.

He cut it on the diagonal the way Cass liked and we ate at the counter with our books still open and the radio going low. Cass stole a corner off my plate. I let her. She’d gone off her own food by then — picked at it, left it — and stolen off mine instead. I didn’t ask why. I’d got good, by September, at not asking why about anything. Out the window the studio light had come on early — the days were going short — and none of it, not the homework or the radio or the good smell off the pan, meant a single thing, the way none of it had meant anything all summer.

He rinsed his plate, dried his hands, and looked at me — at me, not Cass.

“Leave the books,” he said. “I think it’s time we finished this.”

He didn’t have to say more than that. For weeks he’d taken me right up to it and stopped, every time, on purpose, so I’d feel him choose to — and the second he said it, I knew tonight he wasn’t going to stop. I got up when he got up. Cass got up when I did and wouldn’t look at me, and that told me the rest.

He didn’t take us to the studio. No pad, no charcoal, no easel — none of the trick I’d used all summer to get through what he did to Cass, standing off to the side of myself and turning it into line and shadow so I never had to be all the way inside it. On the stairs, his hand light and steering between my shoulder blades, it came down on me: there was nothing up here to hide behind. Up here I was only ever going to be the girl on the bed.

His room was warm and smelled like him. He undressed me himself, quick and sure, the way he had every night since the first — nothing of me left to uncover that he hadn’t already had his fill of. But his eyes went over me slower tonight, taking their time, a man about to be handed the one last piece of me he’d made himself wait on.

I lay back on the big bed and let my knees fall open, and nobody made me. That was the part I’d never get to give back — no one held me down, no one ever had to. I did it because Cass was on the far side of it, and I could not leave her alone in the one place all summer I’d never followed her; because going all the way down into this was the last way left to stay in the same world as her. Every part of me was screaming not to. I did it anyway.

Cass lay down on my other side and laced her fingers all the way through mine, tight, the way she did in the dark.

“Hey.” Just to me, her mouth at my ear. “Look at me. Not him. Right here.”

All those nights on the stool I’d been three feet from her with my hands full of charcoal, no way to reach her. Now it had turned around, and she couldn’t reach me either — just her hand in mine, her eyes on mine, the two of us holding on while her father knelt up between my legs. It wasn’t going to be enough. She gave it anyway.

He pushed my knees wider and put his fingers down through me, and found me wet — my body run out ahead of me again, the way it had every night at the window, sick with dread and slick for him anyway — and worked it up over all of me until I was slick everywhere he’d need.

Then he brought the head of himself up against me, to the edge he’d always stopped at, and this time he didn’t pull back. He was leaking already, slick and warm where the head of him pressed against me, more of it coming the longer he held there. Clear, still. The white came later; I’d drawn that leaking out of Cass all summer. Knowing it was coming turned out to be worth nothing at all. The size of him was there, blunt and impossible, and the fear came up anyway, plain and animal. Too big. It won’t. I can’t.

“Wait.” Small — the exact word Cass had used on her birthday, and I knew now from the inside what it had cost her, and exactly what it was worth, which was nothing. Then again, not small — the animal in me begging for the old mercy even knowing it wasn’t coming. “Wait — please, not all the way, please —” I got a hand up against his chest with no strength in it at all. “It’s too big, I can’t, please —” And the other fear came up under that one, the one I’d carried up the stairs with me: “Please — not that, not the way you finish inside her, please, don’t —” and I couldn’t say the rest.

“Shh.” He didn’t stop, and he didn’t answer me — not the plea, not the part I couldn’t get out, none of it, like I hadn’t spoken at all. His eyes stayed on my face, hungry, thrilled with himself. “Look at you. You’re the one who really believed it, aren’t you. The real thing. Let’s find out what’s left of that once I’m all the way up in you.”

He got his hands under me first — one spread flat and wide on my hip, the other hooking my thigh up and back and folding it toward my chest, opening me out until I could feel the whole underside of me lift and part, and there was no way left to close any of it. Then he leaned his weight down over me, and settled himself against me, blunt and huge, right where I’d never once been open, and pushed.

He didn’t fit, not at first. My body did what a body does with something that size — flinched, drew tight, an animal no somewhere under the yes I’d already given him — and he only leaned his weight down, slow and steady, grinding the head of him against the shut mouth of me until it had to start giving.

The burn of it had no top and no bottom. I could feel myself stretched wider than I’d have believed I’d go, wider and then wider still around the thickest part of him, pulled right to the edge of tearing, everything in me lit up and shaking, and a sob broke out of me — and this was still only the head of him, only the start.

And then the last of me that had never once been through — the place his fingers had come up to every night he’d had me up here, and stopped, never once let past — held one second, and then it gave.

It tore, and the head of him forced through into me. I felt it go — not a thing I could stand off from and turn into line and shadow the way I had all summer with hers; this was happening in my own body, a hot rip low where nothing had ever been through, the pain of it shooting up into my stomach and my chest, and it wrenched a sound out of me I’d never once heard myself make. Cass’s hand clamped down over mine hard enough to grind the bones, and I held onto it, onto the hurt of her grip, because it was the one thing in that room still mine.

He didn’t stop for it. No hush, no breathe, no worst-part’s-over — he was past all that. He held a moment with just the head of him lodged inside me and the whole of me clenched shaking around it, and he pushed his face down into my neck and dragged in a breath of me like he couldn’t get enough, and made a low sound, all appetite.

“There’s the cherry,” he said against my skin, thick with it. “Been thinking about that all summer, my little painter.”

Then he started working the rest of himself up into me, and that was worse than the tear, because the tear was over in a breath and this went on and on. He couldn’t drive it home in one go — I was too tight and too new for that — so he took it slow, one long unbroken slide, sinking up into me thick and wet and relentless and never once stopping to let me catch up. His fingers dug into my hip. He never let me close back around any of it. And the pain climbed right along with him, even and steady and worse the deeper he got — the raw drag of him over everything he’d just torn, stretching me wider from the inside, pushing up and up into places I never knew I had — until I couldn’t have told you where he ended and the pain began.

And then he came up against something deep at the back of me, a wall I never knew was in me, and ground himself that last bit up against it until the air went out of me all at once — and he was all the way in. As far up into me as a man could get, and still there was more of him than I could hold, so that I felt him in the pit of my stomach, behind my teeth, in every part of me at once.

“There.” Low, looking down at where he had me split wide open around him — not ugly with it, worse: happy, a man collecting a thing he’d promised himself a long time back. “The girl who was never going to want this. Taking every inch like she was built for it.”

I looked down too — I’d always had to see a thing to make it real — and there it was, my own body laid open: the whole of him buried in me, my skin pulled thin and shiny around the girth of him, a smear of blood where we were joined, brighter and more of it than I’d braced for. No charcoal in my hand this time, no page to turn it into — just the thing itself, and me the one it was done to.
