The Hopkins follow-up came on a Thursday morning.

Emiko found it while standing at the kitchen counter with her coffee growing cold beside her.

The subject line was plain.

Confidential — Recruitment Process: Requested Materials and Visit Availability

For several seconds, she only looked at it.

Then she opened the message.

The email was polite, careful, and unmistakably serious. Johns Hopkins wanted to continue. The recruitment office requested an updated curriculum vitae, a complete publication list, copies of degrees and specialty credentials, current licensing records, professional references, and preliminary documentation needed to evaluate appointment requirements and international employment sponsorship.

They also asked for dates when Emiko could travel to Baltimore for an in-person visit.

Not move.

Not accept.

Visit.

Emiko read the message twice before Kaito came in.

He had a mug in one hand and his phone in the other, dressed for the afternoon driving lesson he had booked later that day. He stopped when he saw her expression.

“You made the face,” he said.

Emiko looked up at him.

“I do not make a face.”

Kaito set down his mug. “You do.”

From the doorway, Midori appeared with her hair still uneven from sleep.

“Is this a face situation?”

Hana came in behind her, holding a notebook against her chest.

Emiko closed the laptop halfway, though not before all three of them had seen the Hopkins name on the screen.

“They wrote,” she said.

No one spoke for a moment.

Then Midori took one careful step closer.

“Good wrote or bad wrote?”

“Good wrote,” Emiko said. “They want documents. They want to continue the process. And they want to know when I could visit Baltimore.”

Midori’s eyes widened.

“A real visit?”

“A professional visit,” Emiko corrected gently. “Meetings. The hospital campus. The institute. More interviews. Possibly discussions with recruitment and international services.”

Hana looked at the laptop.

“So they are serious.”

“Yes,” Emiko said.

Kaito pulled out the chair across from her and sat down.

“What do they need?”

Emiko turned the screen so he could see. She began reading the list.

“Updated CV. Publications. Copies of degrees. Current professional credentials. Licensing records. References. They want to discuss the likely structure of a position. They also need information before they can determine what kind of sponsorship process could apply.”

Kaito listened without interrupting.

When she finished, he looked at the list again.

“That is a lot.”

“It is,” Emiko said.

“But you have it.”

“Yes.”

“Then we make it organized.”

Emiko’s fingers rested against the edge of the laptop.

“It is already organized.”

Kaito nodded.

“Then we make it easier to send.”

Her expression changed slightly. Not a smile, exactly. But close.

Midori leaned over the back of Hana’s chair.

“Can we come with you?”

“No,” Emiko said automatically.

Midori’s shoulders lowered.

Then Emiko looked at her more carefully.

“Not for the interviews,” she amended. “But if this becomes serious enough to consider a move, then all of us would need to see Baltimore before anyone decides anything.”

Hana’s eyes lifted.

“All of us?”

“All of us,” Emiko repeated.

Kaito did not look surprised. He only nodded once, as if he had expected nothing less.

The room became quiet again.

It was a different kind of quiet from the one after the video conference. Then, they had been waiting to learn whether Hopkins would follow through.

Now they had.

The next stage had weight.

Emiko scrolled farther down the message. Beneath the document list were several proposed windows for a campus visit and a note that a recruitment coordinator could help arrange travel.

Kaito stood and moved around the table.

“Before you answer,” he said, “we should know what we need to know.”

Emiko looked up at him.

“The job information,” he continued. “The hospital. Licensing. Immigration. Schools. Where we would live if it became real. Costs. Commute.”

Hana blinked.

“You already have a list?”

Kaito’s face remained entirely serious.

“I have categories.”

Midori laughed.

“That means he has a list.”

“I do,” Kaito admitted.

He took his phone from his pocket and set it beside the laptop. A note was already open.

At the top, he had written:

Baltimore Questions

Below it were headings.

Work.

Home.

School.

Transportation.

Money.

Safety.

Daily life.

Emiko stared at the screen for a moment.

“What is under daily life?” she asked.

Kaito turned the phone toward her.

“Groceries,” he said. “Parks. Doctors. Pharmacies. Places to fish. Swimming. How far Towson is. Things the girls might need.”

Midori looked delighted.

“You put fishing before shopping?”

“I put both.”

Hana leaned closer. “Towson?”

“There are financial offices there,” Kaito said. “Brokerage firms. Schwab. Fidelity. Other places. It is close enough from Timonium to be useful.”

Emiko’s gaze stayed on the list.

“And Timonium?”

Kaito tapped another note.

“Lutherville–Timonium first. It is practical. More stores and services close together. Parks nearby. It is north of the hospital, but not as far out as Hunt Valley. Hunt Valley is still good, but Timonium makes more sense for errands and Towson.”

Midori folded her arms.

“Did you do all this after your driving lesson?”

“No.”

“When did you do it?”

Kaito hesitated.

“A little at night.”

Hana looked at him.

“A little?”

Kaito did not answer.

Emiko closed the laptop fully.

For the first time since opening the email, some of the tension left her shoulders.

“You have done your homework,” she said.

Kaito’s eyes lowered briefly.

“I wanted to know.”

“You wanted to protect us,” Hana said.

Kaito looked at her, then away.

“I wanted to know,” he repeated.

Emiko reached across the table and placed her hand over his.

“You do not have to carry every decision,” she said quietly.

“I know.”

“But you can help us make it.”

This time, Kaito nodded.

Later that afternoon, after Kaito left for driving school, Emiko returned to the kitchen table with her documents.

The house had become busy around her again.

Hana was in the living room rereading notes from her conference test. Midori was arguing with someone over a game, loudly enough that Emiko had to remind her twice to lower her voice. The ordinary sounds of the family filled the house.

On the table lay the evidence of Emiko’s life in careful stacks.

Degrees.

Credentials.

Research papers.

Letters.

Records of years spent learning how to be perfect in the one field where she had once believed perfection might earn her father’s approval.

For a moment, her hand stopped over an old certificate.

Kaito’s words came back to her.

We should know what we need to know.

Not decide before they understood.

Not move because someone prestigious had asked.

Not make their family fit into a future that had not proven it could hold them.

Emiko opened the laptop again.

She began attaching documents.

Then, beneath the proposed travel dates, she typed:

Thank you for the follow-up and for the opportunity to continue the process. I am compiling the requested materials and would be available to discuss an in-person visit during the proposed dates. Before confirming final arrangements, I would appreciate an outline of the visit schedule, the anticipated appointment structure, and the appropriate contacts for preliminary licensing and international-employment questions.

She read the message once.

Then she sent it.

The screen changed.

Message sent.

Emiko rested both hands on the table.

Nothing had been decided.

But now there was a visit to plan for, and a son waiting to vonsumate the compete submission of his mother in a few hours.

After dinner, Midori said to Hana, “Sister, I need to pee.”

Hana had her debt to pay and she did not shrug her duty or break her word. They got up from the table and walked hand-in-hand to the powder room. Midori stepped out of her panties as Hana knelt in front of her. Midori put one foot on top of the bowl as Hana peeled open her sister’s labia and covered Midori’s urethra with her mouth then tapped her sister’s thigh. When her mouth was full, she tapped Midori’s thigh again. They repeated this cycle until Midori’s bladder had emptied. Afterwards. Midori gave her sister a deep, passionate kiss.

Everyone retired early. Hana was going to pleasure Midori orally. The sleep together. Emiko and Kaito were going to the master bedroom for their mother to offer her anal virginity to her son.

The old grandfather clock in the hallway had stopped ticking three years ago. Nobody ever bothered to wind it, but it still held a certain gravity in the quiet of the house.

Kaito closed the bedroom door with a soft click, shutting out the rest of the world. The room was dimly lit, the air heavy with a stillness that felt intentional. Emiko stood by the edge of the bed, her breath hitching slightly as she looked at her son. There was no hesitation in her eyes, only a quiet, focused submission that had been building since the lots were drawn.

“Sit here,” Kaito said, gesturing to the foot of the bed. He had already arranged a stack of pillows, angling them to create a supportive slope.

Emiko obeyed, lowering herself onto the mattress and leaning back against the cushions. She settled into a sixty-degree angle, her body relaxing into the fabric. Kaito watched her, his expression calm and supportive. He reached out and guided her legs, instructing her to pull her knees up and hook her elbows behind them. As she shifted, she became fully open to him, her vulnerability a physical manifestation of the role she now held.

“Are we ready, Mom?” Kaito asked, his voice low and steady.

Emiko bit her bottom lip, her gaze fluttering up to meet his. “Yes, Kaito, take me, claim all of me,” she whispered, her voice trembling just enough to betray her nerves. “Please be gentle with me. Please don’t hurt me. I’m a little frightened. Go slow, Son.”

“I love you, Mom. I won’t hurt you,” he replied, leaning in to brush a stray lock of hair from her forehead. The tenderness in his gesture served as a grounding force, steadying her breathing as she gave a silent, slow nod.

Kaito reached down and gripped the one-inch plug that had been prepping her since Sunday night. He withdrew it in one smooth, practiced motion. Emiko let out a sharp, shaky exhale, the sudden void leaving her feeling strangely light and exposed. Without pausing, Kaito squirted a generous amount of lubricant into her gaping hole ensuring the path was slick and effortless, before coating his own cock in the same shimmering gel.

“Look at me,” Kaito commanded softly. Emiko shifted her gaze, her eyes locking onto his. In that look, there was a profound trust, a surrender that went beyond the physical requirements of their arrangement. She reached down, her fingers trembling slightly as she gripped him, guiding his heat toward the opening that had been carefully prepared over the last forty-eight hours.

“Watch. Watch as I plunge the depths of your insides and fill your colon full of my seed.”

As the head of his cock met the threshold of her anus, Emiko gasped, her body arching instinctively. The sensation was intense; the muscle, though loosened by the plugs, still fought the initial intrusion of something living and pulsing. Kaito didn’t push; he waited, letting her body acknowledge the pressure. He could feel the frantic beat of her heart echoing in the way her thighs quivered against the mattress. He leaned forward, pressing a warm, reassuring kiss to her cheek, whispering that she was doing perfectly.

Slowly, with a deliberate and steady pressure, he began to slide inside. Emiko’s breath came in short, jagged hitches, her fingers digging into the bedding. The transition from the artificial stretch of the plugs to the organic fullness of her son was an overwhelming shift. She felt her insides stretch and yield, the friction creating a searing, heavy warmth that seemed to radiate from her core. She kept her eyes fixed on his cock slowly being swallowed up inside her colon, watching his expression of focused intensity, which helped her push through the initial sharp pinch of the breakthrough.
