It got complicated.
Amy was camped in ... and not leaving ... the Cocker Wheeler gunnery trainer with twin AN M2 Colt .30 cal machine guns and already figuring out how they worked. The grin on that girl...
Karen and Hilda argued a bit but eventually, Karen and Hilda pulled out of the hangar and putted off to find the girls.
I, however, stayed ... out of sight and addressed the voices in Karen’s and now my head. I was not polite.
“Who da fuck are you... ‘ a question ... and a command.
The ... people ... creatures ... whatever they were...
“Scientists ... we’re scientists.”
“Right ... and my daddy is Audie Murphy.”
“Who?”
“War hero and movie star.”
“We thought your name was Mock.”
Yup ... scientists ... no sense of humor or sarcasm.
“Mind Readers too.”
“Oops.” Bethanne paused ... thought and lightbulbed. “ You keep using the term we and us ... as if you are plural ... ERP!”
As they disincorporated Bethanne ran behind the hangar and was noisily sick in the grass.
“That was disgusting,” she said.
“You’ll get used to it,” Seven said.
“You...” Bethanne was interrupted.
