That caused my mind to riot ... just what kind of trouble could I get into. Not a question ... more like a plan. Hmm.
I called.
“You said airplane.”
“Bethanne?” Karen.
“Yes.” Bethanne.
“It’s fully restored Warbird with a history.” K.
“Warbird?” B.
“Beechcraft trainer and sometimes scout ... a Kansan ... look it up.” K.
“Where?” B.
“Buffalo.” K.
“New York?” B.
“Wyoming.” K.
“Buffalo?” I was rumbling through my ruthful exploits ... remembering the molding derelicts ... the dawning ... dull aluminum with faded insignia... “Ah ... The airport.”
“Yes.”
“You bought?” B.
“Hairy did. Both of them.” Karen confessed, “I was restoring them.”
