The King
The King of Velomoray
(National anthem of the realm)
I
Crown of the realm, in whom our virtues meet,
beneath whose hand the scattered people stand
as one bright field made whole, as one heart’s beat —
we sing thee, King, the keystone of the land.
II
For Honour, keeping faith though kingdoms fall,
and Troth, that holds its vow when all is loss;
for Loyalty, that answers to the call
and bears, unbought, its given weight across;
for Learning’s lamp, raised high that all may see —
these are the gifts the King bestows on thee.
