Chapter 6
Dana felt herself falling, spinning down through a frigid void. At the edge of sensibility, her mind cried out in protest, in denial, then in abject fright. Something reacted, some primal root of her being uncoiling from deep within. A familiar power surged in her, then poured out through her being, twining about the spirit that was Ken.
There was an abrupt plunge into an altered state. everything quieted. There was no sense of movement, no shaking, not even a touch of physical reality. Terrors and fright evaporated. Dana was floating in milky whiteness, in some timeless void, apart, yet not alone.
Ken was there, enfolded by her, as had been the case when they shared a climax. She felt his presence with her, somehow touching awareness, however insubstantial. She reached for him, pulling on threads of power that were tangled in the essence that was Ken. She drew his splintered, disjointed self closer, accepting him into her being, pulling on his silver cord, drawing him into herself.
Light and the flavour of love flowed through her.
Just then, soundless voices touched and caressed her. She felt completely naked, totally exposed. Others reached out, brushing Dana’s awareness. Female and ethereal, they became an encompassing womb, comforting, nurturing. Even as they surrounded her, she also enveloped Ken. For an instant, she became his womb, his protective mother, his lover and surrounder. He coalesced, becoming part of her, even as she intrinsically allowed some primal core to merge with him.
