When my last class ended, I just ran for the dropoff/pickup apron. I didn’t need to swap books in my locker as much as I needed to see Nell and get away from the school for a while. Man, I was glad to see her.
When I opened the door I asked “Hey, lady, you got any candy?”
She grinned at me “Why yes, little boy, do you want some?”
“Yes, Ma’am! I’ll do unspeakable acts for candy!”
“Well, just hop right in, and I’ll give you a ride! Somewhere...”
I sure hope none of the parents heard that!
Once we were moving Nell asked “So, are we going ‘parking’ today?”
“Absolutely! ‘Parking’ first, quarterstaff training second.”
That is just SO GOOD! Playing and nursing, getting head, then playing and nursing some more, and finally just taking my shirt off so we can hold each other until we can both think straight again? What do I need to do, to keep Nell happy?
When we were getting dressed again, I had an idea. What was it the Grinch had? An awful, terrible, wonderful idea? Yeah. “Can we go back down to State Route 77? Let’s go that way, all the way across the Coosa and then go back up to Glencoe. Maybe we can find another place like this so we don’t have to go out of our way. And have everyone out on the road see us here.”
“Of course, if you know the way.”
“Well, I looked it up on my phone. It’ll tell us where to turn. Our job is to see if the directions really work. It might be a faster way. It might not be. We’ll have to see.”
77 all the way to Rainbow City wasn’t any worse than 431 through Gadsden would have been. Green Valley Road into Glencoe was fine, but without my phone’s map program I wouldn’t have known to turn onto the Pilgrim’s Rest Road shortcut to GET to Green Valley, saving several miles. Once we turned back onto 431, Nell knew where we were and could drive straight to their house.
And the trip took long enough that neither of us looked like a zombie by the time we got there. Yeah, we took 77 down to where we could cut over to Green Valley Road to see if it was a better route. It wasn’t faster, but it probably never gets clogged with rush hour traffic in Gadsden, either.
Staff practice after a hug and kiss from Cindy, and just a hug from Sally because she wasn’t allowed to kiss me, was good. Apparently their father had given them some more pointers after I left. That was fine, I wasn’t the one who needed it. I was just doing it because it was a useful skill and maybe if I got good enough I could teach others. Oh, and it gave me a reason to go see Cindy and go parking with Nell.
This time Nell stayed outside with us, because I’d asked her to see if she might be interested. I was fine with her being submissive to me, if she felt the need, but I wanted her to be able to fight off anyone else who thought she should be submissive to them. Nope, I don’t share my toys with NOBODY!
Besides, the more exercise and fresh air she got, the healthier she would be and the better her life would be. Of course, the incidental fact that it would also make my life with her better was completely irrelevant.
I wasn’t staying for dinner, but I wanted to talk to Cindy’s father about the training on Sunday, so I waited for him to get home instead of heading out as soon as we were done practicing. Hey, it gave me a chance to snuggle with Cindy and talk with Nell.
Sally seemed to be significantly better at keeping a baseball moving in a straight line in front of her than Cindy and I were. I’d bet good money that she’d been practicing behind our backs while we were doing ‘adult things’. That was fine, too. In a couple more years she’d be more focused on doing adult things, and maybe this would help keep her out of trouble until George noticed her.
I mentioned that to Cindy while we were snuggling, that Sally had claimed dibs on me when we broke up, and that George had asked me to let him know when we broke up. Maybe George and Sally could get together until we broke up? She laughed so hard she choked. I mean, her mom came in from the kitchen to see what the problem was, she was having so much trouble breathing.
It took her a couple of minutes to recover to where she could tell her mom that I’d said something funny that she hadn’t expected, and something hadn’t gone right. Then, she started hiccuping and that made everyone else laugh. She got cross, but I caught her wrist before she hit me and that made her even madder. “Cindy, honey? You’re a Healer. ‘Physician, heal thyself!’”
She stopped hitting me and placed her hands on her throat. They glowed for a few seconds, and she stopped hiccuping. Then she smiled at me and snuggled in again. “You’re still a jerk, but you take care of me.”
“Always, honey. I wish we could close the doors. This snuggling thing is a lot better when we take our shirts off.” She nodded some more. I caught Nell nodding, too.
Eventually we heard her dad’s car pull up, and I had to get ready to go. I mostly just wanted to let him know where we stood for Sunday. I had asked for cold drinks, and ALPRA had said they would be free for us NCs and at-cost for everyone else. They had bathrooms, but I needed to see how large, how many, and what condition they were in. We might have to order some port-a-potties. Also, I’d asked them to get some different sizes of rod or dowel from 1” up to 2-1/2”, and a saw to cut them to the right length.
Last, I told him that we had a four-tier charge scale. All the New Class people we really wanted got in free if they registered first, and paid $5 if they didn’t. Adult Weapons paid $10. Everyone else didn’t get in, because we weren’t ready for the public to run around everywhere like at a flea market. The BTF was a secure facility because it was dangerous and we didn’t need people running around and getting hurt when we didn’t even know they were there.
I was willing to make an exception for Sally, though, if she wanted to come. If anyone complained, I would tell them that you couldn’t get a babysitter so you had to bring your little girl. If she didn’t come in, you didn’t come in, and we didn’t get our training so let’s be practical and let the instructor bring his daughter to work if he wanted.
I told you I could explain or rationalize anything, didn’t I?
On our way home I realized that I could invite Eric and Margie, but Jeff Ostwald wouldn’t get the email. I didn’t have Jeff’s phone #, but I did have Doug’s. I gave him a quick call. He didn’t answer, so I left him a text. “Did you get ALPRA email about Sunday training in B’ham? If so, please pass that on to Jeff, he’s invited. I don’t have his #. If you DIDN’T get that email, call me.”
Once I was off the phone Nell asked if I needed to get home immediately. Uh, no, why? Would I be interested in some more snuggling, doing it right? Why, yes. Yes, I would!
She took us back the same way we’d come, down 431 to Green Valley. I had to pull out my phone again to make sure we caught the shortcut back to 77. It was too dark to check out any of the possible parking spots we’d noticed on the way out, so we just went back to our spot off of 11. We knew our way around that one.
While we were driving I asked why she didn’t have a phone. They were pretty useful, and most adults had one. Most kids, too, really. She said she’d never needed one before, but she was seeing the need now. I should be able to call her at any time. I suggested she ask Cindy for advice on where to go and what to get. She didn’t need the latest thing, but she did need a ‘smart’ phone that could surf the net, do maps, and let her take notes. Actually, the oldest and cheapest one they would sell her should be fine, as long as it was a ‘smart’ phone. Or, she could pay more for a newer and nicer one if she wanted. I was just saying that she didn’t need the most expensive one they could sell.
As an example, I sent Cindy a text asking “Aside from being ‘cool’ and ‘in’, are Apple phones worth the cost?”
She replied “Only if everything you do is Apple. Phone, laptop, iPad, watch.”
The next time Nell stopped at a light I showed that to her. “So, not Apple as they don’t play well with others. Unless Cindy says something else, go to the AT&T store in Gadsden and get a basic smartphone. You should get whatever you want, but you don’t need the real expensive one they want you to buy.”
This time she turned right and went back west along the treeline for a while before turning around. We’d see any vehicle pulling into the field, as long as they had their lights on.
I was sure I could have gotten another head job, but I didn’t really need it. I was happy just playing and then snuggling with both of us topless. We were probably there longer than we should have been, but ... it was really good.
We were probably mostly asleep when my phone dinged. It was Doug, saying that Jeff had his email but didn’t know if he would be there. Doug may need a ride. I asked him to try to find one, all us New Class Weapons were invited and there were ~20 from Etowah County. I could take him, but I’d be going way early Sunday morning because I was part of the ALPRA ‘management’ for this. Lemme know by Friday night.
