New year. New songs. Album number THREE. ❤️
First day at Riverbank with Harry Taylor and Ellie Greenwood, the two wonderful people who helped me bring “A Woman’s Work” to life. Now I get to sit in a room with them and find out what else we can make together.
No title yet. Just my guitar, a notebook with a whole lot of scribbles, and approximately a million butterflies.
Got some things on my heart, y’all. Let’s see if we can turn ‘em into songs.

rowseatmusic: The interesting bit for me is that she says they’re writing together. I’d like to hear more of what Kayla has to say, wherever she records it.

rachel_sings: Serious question—do you still get nervous singing in front of just the producers? I can sing at school concerts but put me in a room with my teacher and suddenly I forget how.
KaylaV: @rachel_sings Oh, honey, yes. Especially trying something they haven’t heard before. Helps when they make you feel like you’re allowed to get it wrong. ❤️

musicrownotebook: The working relationship is what interests me here. She already knows these two from A Woman’s Work, so they’re coming into the album with some trust established.
