“Are you going to tell Jared?”

Jared was a good father and provider, far more interested in sports and hunting than romance.
Larrin had stayed on as a staff scientist in the same lab where she had trained. Her kids were her true priority; she had never chased a high-profile academic career. Jen still worked in the neighboring lab and had moved through a string of boyfriends. She was currently single.
