Chapter 14: The Keyholder

“I can’t wait for you to put the cuffs on me.”

“Mmm.”

“Tighter.”

“Ooh, yes! Just like that.”

“They’re so tight.”

I glanced up at the TV and sighed, then turned my attention back to them.

They were arguing.

“I was waiting for you to roll me over and fuck me,” she told him, arching her back and tugging at the cuffs as though she might somehow break free. “But you didn’t. You just fucking left me here so you could watch your fucking porn.”

She craned her neck toward the TV and scoffed. “Those tiny little tits aren’t even real.”

“I thought it’d be better than actually fucking you,” he said, sounding apologetic. “Knowing how badly you wanted it. You know, letting the anticipation grow.”

“Shit!”

“Yeah!”

“You feel so good. You feel so good. That feels amazing.”

“Feel my pussy, baby.”

“Oh. Yeah.”

I glanced at the TV again, then back at him, hoping he’d get the hint. But they just kept arguing.

“You said you liked it,” he told her, his voice rising.

“Yes,” she replied hesitantly. “It’s...” She sighed. “It’s just—I’m not responsible for anything when I’m like this. It’s the only time I don’t have to worry about shit.”

She paused.

“Well,” she continued, trying to look up at him before letting her head fall back onto the bed, “unless I can’t get out because YOU LOST THE FUCKING KEYS!”

“I DIDN’T LOSE THEM!” he yelled back. “They’re here somewhere.”

“A lot of good that’s done me.”

“Hold my hair. Hold my hair, baby.”

“Give it to me. Give it to me.”

“It feels so good.”

I looked at him again, but he didn’t look at me. He was focused on her.

“We could have done this at home. The kids were at school today.”

“WHAT?! So your mother can just walk in on us?” she shot back. She lifted her head, trying to look at me. “My mother-in-law just walks into my house. Like it’s hers. Like it belongs to her.”

She turned back to him. “The last thing I want is for her to walk in and find me like this. Thinking, ‘Oh, shit,’ and then telling everyone. Everyone finding out. All of our fucking dirty laundry out on display.”

“Fuuuck!”

“Yes! Yes! Yes! You fuck me so good.”

“Pound my pussy! Pound my pussy!”

“Fuck me like a prostitute. Ravage me.”

“Oh, God!”

I let out a long breath.

“So ... you two are married?”

“Well, yeah,” he replied, as if he didn’t quite understand the question.

I looked at her. “And you let him do this to you? You’re not being held against your will?”

“Do I look like I’m being held against my will?” she asked, still sounding upset—though now it seemed directed at me. “I’m in a fucking teddy, stockings, and fuck me heels. “What, you think he randomly kidnapped me and I just happened to be wearing this under my clothes?”

“Of course I let him fucking do this to me,” she insisted, “he’s—my husband. The plan was for me to get some. Just lay here, not be able to do anything. Worry about anything. And get fucked until I passed out. But instead, I’m talking to you.”

“Oh God! Oh God!”

“You make me so wet.”

“Yes, yes, yes! You fuck me so good!”

“I needed to ask,” I told her as I put the paper bag on the bed and unfolded the top, breaking the staples. “Otherwise, I’d have to call the sheriff’s office.”

A faint metallic jingle came from the bag. He leaned in to see what it was.

“Why do you have those?” he asked.

I rummaged through the bag and pulled out a key. “Lost and found,” I said. “Someone left them a while back. Movie producers or something. Talent scouts. Anyway, they were using—” I cut myself off. He didn’t need to hear all of that.

I reached down and unlocked the cuffs—the ones wrapped around the cuffs at her ankles and wrists, the ones that held her in a hog cuff.

As they came free and fell onto the bed, I watched her stretch out as the tension drained from her body.

“Slowly,” I told her. “I don’t know how long you’ve been like this, but you’re likely sore. You need—”

I broke off as her legs dropped.

“Oh God,” she said.

“I want you to come.”

“Come inside me! Please come inside me!”

“I liked the way if feels.”

“Oh yes!”

I turned away from the TV and leaned down to uncuff her wrists. I was going to tell her again to go slow, but decided it wasn’t worth it.

She sat up on the bed and moved her ankles toward the edge so I could remove those next.

Once they were off, I dropped the cuffs onto the bed with the others and placed the key back in the bag, folding it shut.

“That’s so much better,” she said.

“We appreciate you choosing us,” I said in my rehearsed, robotic voice. “I know there are other places in the area.”

That wasn’t true. We were the cheapest decent place. If you wanted nicer, you had to pay a lot more.

“But please find the keys before you ... use those again,” I said, gesturing toward the cuffs.

I picked up the bag and was about to leave when he stepped in front of me.

“Would it be possible to have one of those keys?” he asked.

“As I said, it’s lost and found,” I replied evenly. “The owners might still come back for them. Hotel policy.”

It wasn’t policy. We kept items for thirty days in a paper bag, then either threw them out or let staff take them. And these had been sitting there for years. None of the staff wanted to ask us for them; tell us they wanted to take them.

“Right,” he said.

“You two have a nice stay,” I told them. “Let us know if you need anything else.”

I smiled, but I hoped I wouldn’t see them again.

“Oh God!”

“I love the way it feels in me. It’s so warm.”

“I love the way it drips down me.”

“Fuck me again, baby.”

“Fuck me like a dirty little—”

The door closed behind me, and the blaring pay-per-view he had on faded behind it. I took a breath in the hallway before heading back to the lobby.

When I got back behind the counter, I stapled the bag shut again and placed it with the others.

“‘Fuck me. Fuck me like the dirty little girl I am.’” She said, mimicking a ditsy blonde voice.

I turned and smiled, but she was already behind me, thrusting herself into me.

“Oh! Oh! Oh!” she said, her voice rising with each step of momentum before she collapsed into me, laughing as she caught herself against me.

I looked around. “Stop,” I told her, though it came out half-laughing. “Someone’s going to see.”

She glanced around. “Who? One of those old coots? Langley left hours ago.”

“The only time this place is busy is when the museum’s holding one of their private porn events dressed up like art.”

She leaned back against the counter and crossed her arms.

“Another one of those?” she asked.

“How did you know?” I replied sarcastically, though I already knew. She’d clearly looked up what they’d been watching in the room, and she’d probably noticed the bag was gone.

She pointed down, confirming it.

“How many times have you had to pull that thing apart now?”

I looked down at the staple marks. “Doz-zen?”

“It’s been what? Three years,” she said, glancing at the date Sharpied on the bag. “They’re not coming back for those.”

I nodded. “I know. But they come in handy.”

“There are multiple keys in there,” she said. “We could just keep one under the counter.”

“What?” I asked. “Take them home?”

She smiled and nodded.

I just looked at her. She had that mischievous smile on her face—the one I knew too well. The one that meant she was thinking very bad things.

“Why don’t you?” I asked her.

“Because I have four kids, a husband, and I’m taking care of my father,” she replied. “Even if Craig was open to it—which he wouldn’t be,” she added, “as soon as they were on, they’d have to come off. Someone would need me for something.”

She shrugged again. “You’re not married. No kids.” She smiled. “Max might think they’re fun.”

“I don’t know,” I said.

She reached down and grabbed the bag.

“Your shift just ended, missy,” she said, grabbing the bag and handing it to me, then turning me around by the shoulders and pointing toward the back room. “Go get your purse. Your coat. Go home. Surprise Max with those.”

I smiled back at her. “You’re crazy,” I said as I turned slightly.

“Really?” she said, raising an eyebrow. “I’m the crazy one? How many women have we seen restrained here? Ever since that one woman came here, if they’re not cuffed, they’re using those things,” she snapped, pointing at the bag. “Or doing weird kinky shit in the rooms. Calling us like we actually want to deal with that shit—like we keep bolt cutters and cuff keys sitting under the counter.

“We do,” I replied, pointing down.

She smirked, ignoring my comment.

“Anyway,” she continued, “maybe they know something we don’t.”

“Not the freak shows,” she clarified. “But those rich bitches that come in all chained up for those events.” She shrugged and pushed her finger into the bag. “You should go home and find out.”

She nodded. “I want a full report tomorrow.”

“You’re so bad,” I told her, smiling and half laughing. I grabbed my things and was heading out when I heard her call after me.

“Sherrie!”

I stopped and turned back. She was holding another paper bag.

“In the back,” she said. “I may have accidentally stored these back there.”

“These?” I said. “What’s in it?”

“You’ll see,” she replied. “It goes with those.” She pointed to the bag with the restraints.

“Should I be afraid?”

She laughed, then thought for a moment. “Nah.”

“That doesn’t make me feel good,” I told her, smiling after she hesitated.

But I nodded as she held out the bag. I took it. It was full, but not heavy—not like the bag with the restraints—so I knew it wasn’t more cuffs.

“Bye, sweetie,” she said, waving as she turned and headed back to the counter. “See you tomorrow!”

I nodded, even though she didn’t see me, and walked out.

When I got home, I dropped the bags on the coffee table and fed Barbra Streisand. She was already on the counter the moment I walked in.

I kicked off my heels and sank into the couch when she climbed onto me a minute later.

“Hey, sweetie,” I said as she purred and pressed her head against me, then meowed again. I knew what she wanted—more food.

“Sorry, sweetie,” I told her. “The vet says you’re fat.”

I sat up. “Should we see what my crazy coworker gave me?”

I reached over, pulled the bag open, and laid everything out.

“Okay,” I said, a little surprised, but not entirely.

“I rummaged through them, holding up a leather teddy. It seemed real—real leather. It was in a bustier style, lacing up the front but clasped in the back.”

Panties, I thought—leather, my favorite. The thin, g-string kind. Nothing like having dental floss wedged in your ass while trying to be sexy.

Matching leather garter. And stockings. I slipped my hand into one of them—seamed, expensive.

I then lifted up one of the heels—patent leather. I held my hand against it. Five inches. No, six? It didn’t matter. They were high. Much higher than the three-inch heels I had to wear with my work uniform.

They looked expensive too, like the stockings.

“No,” I thought, staring at the red soles. Then I glanced at the label printed on the inside and shook my head. “These are our rent for a month.”

I slipped one on and nodded. “Okay. They fit,” I told Barbra Streisand. “Maybe a half inch too big, but they fit.”

I pulled on the other and put everything back in the bag.

“Okay,” I said, standing and feeling the height of the heels. Then went to go get ready.

When I stepped out of the bathroom, Max was by the bed.

“What are these?” she asked, holding up the leg cuffs.

Then she saw what I was wearing.

“What’s this about?” she said, smiling as she set the cuffs down and walked toward me.

She reached out and gently ran her fingers over the teddy. “Aren’t you the little vixen,” she said, still smiling. “Is this for me?”

“Obviously,” I told her.

“And those?” she asked, nodding toward the bed.

“Uh-huh,” I said, smiling.

She raised both eyebrows and shook her head—her way of asking for the rest of it without saying a word.

I walked over carefully, still unsteady in the heels, and sat on the bed, crossing my legs. I picked up the leg cuffs and held them up between us.

She sat down beside me. “Are those...?”

I nodded. “Yes.”

“Louboutin’s,” I added.

She let out a quiet laugh and shook her head again.

“How?” she asked, feeling the teddy again. Then, reaching down, she slipped her fingers between the stocking top and my thigh, rubbing the fabric between them. “Did we win the lottery?”

I huffed a laugh, still looking at the cuffs. Then I told her what had happened.

“Kaitlin hid this stuff in the back so she could take them home later?”

“Yeah,” I told her, nodding. “I think so.”

She smiled at me. “So, what was the plan—if I hadn’t come home when you got out?”

I sighed. “Not sure.” I shrugged. “Was thinking maybe a fitted shirt. One of the dress ones. One of the pencil skirts maybe.” I smiled at her. “Maybe a tie. That way this...” I pointed down at the outfit. “Would be a surprise later.”

I looked back up at her. “You seem to like me in uniforms.”

“And?” she asked, smiling and shaking her head.

“What else would there be?” I said, acting as if I didn’t know what she meant.

She reached over and took the leg cuffs from me.

“What was the plan for these?” she asked. “And the ones in the other room?”

I shrugged. “Don’t know,” I said teasingly, holding my wrists together at my waist and shifting them slightly like I was struggling. “From what I know, you need someone to put them on you.”

Max nodded slowly. “Is that so?”

“Uh-huh,” I said. “They’re designed for really naughty girls.”

“They are?” she said, acting surprised.

I nodded.

“Well, maybe you should finish getting dressed,” she suggested.

I reached in, and she did too. We kissed—briefly, softly—before pulling back again.

“I’ll go finish,” I said quietly.

“I’ll go take a shower,” she said.

Then she got up, placing the leg cuffs on the bed. Her hand lingered for a moment as she ran it lightly over my shoulder and collarbone before disappearing into the bathroom.

I had just finished making sure we had all the keys when Max stepped out of the bedroom. She smiled at me, and I found myself smiling right back. Walking over, she gently straightened my tie before reaching up to kiss me.

“You look amazing,” she said, holding my gaze. I could feel her warm breath against my skin. “And very tall.”

“I’m two inches tal—” I started, but the words died in my throat when her lips found my neck.

A sharp breath escaped me.

She kissed just below my jaw, and I felt my pulse immediately quicken. Another kiss. Then another. My chest rose and fell harder with each passing second, my breaths growing deeper and less controlled. I tried to speak, but all that came out at first was a shaky exhale.

“You look really nice too,” I finally managed between heavy breaths, tilting my head to give her better access.

She smiled against my skin, and my breathing hitched again.

Only after a few more lingering kisses did she slowly pull back.

“Everything there?” she asked, glancing briefly down at the table.

I let out a heavy breath.

“Yeah,” I told her.

She smiled and reached up to straighten my tie again, her fingers lingering longer than necessary as she tightened. My eyes followed her hands.

“Did...” she began softly. “Did you want them on?”

I nodded. “We can do that.”

The words came out a little uncertain. Not enough to miss.

Her smile deepened.

She stepped closer and pressed her lips to my neck again.

My breath immediately caught.

“I can help you get into them,” she whispered into my ear, teasingly. “You said you’d need help.”

The warmth of her voice against my skin sent a shiver through me. I drew in a deeper breath, but it only made me more aware of how fast my heart was beating.

Then she crossed to the other side and kissed my neck again before finally pulling back.

“And you said they’re designed for very naughty girls,” she said, slowly looking me up and down. “I think we have everything we need.”

I exhaled heavily.

My chest rose and fell noticeably with each breath, every inhale deeper than the last. I could feel the warmth in my face and the nervous energy building inside me.

All I could manage was a nod.

She watched me for a moment, clearly amused by my reaction.

And somehow that only made it harder to catch my breath.

“These first?” she asked, picking up one of the handcuffs and dangling them from one finger.

I nodded.

She opened one cuff and stepped closer.

“Wrists,” she said firmly as she slipped the steel around them and tightened it with a practiced click.

“Leave one ratchet showing,” I said, taking a deep breath.

She glanced up at me, amused.

“Is that what you learned at work?” she teased.

I nodded, swallowing hard as I did.

“From what I’ve heard,” I said. “Women talking about them.”

“Okay,” she said, a mischievous smile spreading across her face as she locked them around my wrists.

“So, what’s next?”

“You need to double-lock them,” I told her. “So, they don’t accidentally tighten.”

I explained how it worked, watching as she inserted the pin end of the handcuff key into each lock. When she was finished, she gently pressed on the cuffs to test them. They didn’t tighten.

“Wow,” she said, dropping the key onto the table.

She gave the cuffs an experimental tug forward, drawing me closer and forcing me to take an unsteady step toward her in the heels.

“They won’t close now when you struggle.”

It wasn’t a question. She said it teasingly, but with the certainty of a statement—almost as if she expected me to.

“What’s next?” she asked. Then she glanced down. “This?” she added, biting her lip as she held up the box.

I nodded, swallowing again.

I held my wrists out and told her how to fit the housing over the cuffs.

I flexed my wrists—not on purpose, just instinct—and they stayed in place.

She smiled when she saw it—playfully, pleased, like she’d just discovered something more interesting than she’d expected, and was already thinking about what was next.

The waist chain then went on. It took a few tries as we worked through how it was supposed to sit.

I had the image in my head of what it should look like. I’d seen it dozens of times. But knowing that only helped so much. Having it done to you was something completely different.

It didn’t help that there were extra pieces in the bag—chains, cuffs—left behind by others. Maybe forgotten. Never claimed.

But then again, I wouldn’t exactly call a hotel and ask if anyone had turned in restraints I’d left in the room.

So, there was enough there to mimic what I’d seen before.

We eventually pieced it together: the loop of chain running down to my ankles, and the waist chain fed through so the box could be padlocked at the back.

None of it was rushed.

Max worked in silence, focused and close, like she was learning the shape of it through touch—like it was something she’d have to remember, something that wouldn’t be the last time.

There was an intimacy to it that contrasted sharply with what this actually was. Every adjustment meant her fingers brushing my skin, a pause that lingered just a second too long, then the smallest correction—something that, from the outside, would have looked entirely wrong for the situation.

She teased me in small ways throughout it, brushing too close when she moved around me, letting me lean in for a kiss and not quite staying there long enough for it to settle.

When she finally stepped behind me and padlocked the chain into place, she reached forward, gently brushed my hair aside, and wrapped her hands around my cuffed ones where they were now secured against my waist.

Then she kissed the back of my neck.

I exhaled, heavy. My head tipped forward without thinking, giving her the space without either of us needing to say it.

“There ... all secure,” she finally spoke, whispering gently in my ear as she moved around to look at me from the front.

And then she bit her lip as she took me in.

I stood there in front of her, my wrists chained in place. The waist chain sat snug, high on my waist, my elbows bent at almost a ninety-degree angle.

She stepped forward and gently took my hands, then ran her fingers up along my arms. I shivered as my body instinctively tried to pull away.

She gave a small huff—soft, amused, the kind of sound that said she was quietly pleased with how it had all come together.

Less than a minute later, she was on her knees, slipping the leg cuffs through the ring on the chain and locking them in place.

She had me walk a little—more of a hobble than anything. The chain was short, by design, limiting every step and keeping me close.

It only allowed small movements, just enough to move. I knew it wouldn’t be enough to get any distance.

Each time I circled back, she adjusted them again—loosening them a ratchet at a time until I could step without them digging into my ankles. And each adjustment reinforced the same thing: I couldn’t get far, even if I wanted to.

I moved slowly around the room, returning to her each time she tapped the carpet in front of her with two fingers—teasing, patient—wordlessly calling me back.

When she was finally satisfied, she double-locked the cuffs but didn’t stand.

She stayed kneeling in front of me instead, and ran her fingers from my ankles up along my stockings and back down again.

I kept breathing heavily, my eyes drifting closed as her touch lingered longer than it needed to.

When she finally stood, she leaned in as if to kiss me—but pulled away just as I moved toward her.

“I’m going to enjoy this,” she said, stepping back and taking me in.

Then she reached out and picked up a handcuff key. Then the one for the padlock and held it up between us. “Is this the one for the padlock?” she asked.

I nodded, still looking at her, still breathing a little too hard. Frustration edged in beneath it all—I wanted the kiss she’d just taken away.

She knew it too. She was teasing me, drawing it out, and enjoying every minute of it.

I watched as she walked over to her purse on the kitchen table, pulled out her keys, and added the two to the ring before slipping it back inside.

She looked at me and smiled. She knew what she’d done. She knew exactly what that meant. And she knew I did too.

When we moved in together—when she asked me to move into her tiny one-bedroom—she handed me her key.

And made me add it to my keychain with my other keys.

It was her way of making it official. A commitment. A long-term commitment.

Then she pointed down in front of her, at the floor.

I hobbled forward, carefully, focusing on each step in the heels. Making sure one landed before I took the next.

She watched the whole time, smiling, eyes bright and intent, until I was standing in front of her.

“How does it feel?” she asked, looking at me closely as she played with my tie.

I nodded still breathing heavy. “Restrictive,” I said.

“Well...” she began. “ ... that’s what really naughty girls need.”

She stepped back as if she was visually checking the restraints, then came closer again, and gently kissed me before pulling way.

“Wrists secure,” she said, quieter now, as she pulled on the box.

“Waist secure,” she added, her fingers tracing the chain.

“And legs...” she said, her eyes flicking down as she pulled lightly on the chain that ran to them.

I stepped forward, unable to do anything but follow the movement.

She lingered a second longer than necessary, like she was memorizing the moment rather than the setup. Then her gaze shifted—just slightly—toward the door, the change in her attention subtle but unmistakable.

“All secure,” she finished softly.

Her voice was teasing, but something had shifted. Some of the playfulness from earlier was gone, settling into something steadier—more final.

“What now?” I asked, my breath catching.

She gave a small, uncertain shrug, then leaned in and brushed a soft kiss against my neck.

“I don’t know,” she murmured. “What do you do with very bad girls ... that had to be completely tied up?”

She tilted her head slightly, biting her lip.

A faint shiver ran through me as I looked at her.

“They’re taken someplace,” I said.

“They are?” she asked in a quiet whisper.

“Yes,” I replied, my breathing unsteady.

“Is that what you want?” she pressed gently. “To be taken someplace? Because you’ve been so naughty?”

I closed my eyes and nodded. When I opened them again, I stared at the bedroom. She followed my gaze.

“Yes,” I said.

She caught my tie and drew me in, guiding every step.

I moved toward the bed on instinct, starting to sit—until her voice stopped me.

“No, no, no,” she said softly, a teasing edge in it as she wagged a finger. “Naughty girls don’t get to sit yet.”

I swallowed and stayed where I was, upright in the heels, shifting slightly to keep my balance. The restriction of my stance made every small adjustment feel deliberate, noticeable.

She turned to the closet without breaking the moment, pulled out a tie—one of mine, from work.

When she came back, she was closer this time. Slower.

She lifted it and, with careful hands, tied it over my eyes.

“Can you see?” she asked, her voice quieter now, almost right against me.

“No,” I said softly.

A pause.

Then I felt her take my tie again—gentle, certain—and guide me forward, as if the room itself had narrowed to just the space between us.

She kept guiding me. For a brief moment she released the tie, then took it again and continued leading me forward.

Then I felt the carpet end.

A second later, I heard the front door open.

“Is that the door?” I asked, my breathing heavy—too heavy.

“Uh-huh,” she replied.

“No,” I said.

My breath caught again. “No. Max, you can’t take me out like this.”

I felt her kiss me, then she gently brushed her lips against my ear.

“You said you wanted to be taken somewhere,” she whispered, her breath warm against me.

“To the bedroom,” I said quickly, swallowing hard. “I meant the bedroom.”

She kissed me again, softer this time.

“Come on,” she said.

“No,” I replied, hesitating, holding back.

A moment later, I felt the tie gently tighten as she guided me forward again.

“Come on,” she repeated, her voice calm now. “It’s okay.”

She tugged the tie gently, just enough to guide me forward, and I stumbled a step before falling into her rhythm.

I crossed the threshold, and her hand steadied me on my arm, holding me there for a brief moment. Then the door clicked shut behind us. The deadbolt slid into place.

We kept going.

She led me down the sidewalk. I could sense her presence beside me. It was dark, but the street lamps cast enough light to outline everything around us—enough for anyone nearby to notice.

And my thoughts started to spiral with that.

“Max ... honey,” I said quietly. “Please. Please don’t take me out like this.”

My voice wasn’t steady. It came out uneven, breath catching between words. My breathing deepened again, uncomfortably aware of everything at once.

I heard the car unlock.

She guided me off the sidewalk, steadying me as I stepped down toward the curb. I felt her open the car door, then her hand return to my arm, helping me inside.

It felt like it took too long—like every movement was noticeable, like I was too exposed while getting in.

She was gentle, but firm—careful not to rush me.

I could sense people nearby.

And that awareness just made me breath heavier as I finally got into the car.

“You’re okay,” she said softly as I heard her get into the driver’s seat and start the engine.
