Count Marzo never should have trusted Skeletor. That foolish warrior-sorcerer was a fool. He had no true ability to enter Castle Grayskull. He called himself the Overlord of Evil, but he was just some trumped up idiot with powers he did not understand.
A frontal assault on the fortress while Sorceress had complete use of her magic.
Why had he followed Skeletor?
Marzo knew why.
This was his chance at revenge. He could destroy those who wronged him, and he would have a chance at power, but such a chance under the likes of Skeletor was akin to agreeing to eating a meal when a glutton had a first rights to the table. Marzo might eat, but it would be scraps compared to what he might have enjoyed.
However, as he found his raft in the swamp on the Dark Hemisphere of Eternia without a single idea where his amulet was, he wondered what there was to do.
As he looked around the mucky browns and disgusting greens, he screamed to no one in particular.
Part of him was certain that if he waited, he would have his amulet returned to him, but he was tired of waiting, tired of playing the game of revenge. What was even the point of any of it? He would just be defeated by Sorceress, or He-Man, or Captain Miro’s son Randor, or even the so-called Masters of the Universe.
