Chapter 3

I hear the door open again and hear the chimes of bangles hitting each other. I understand Mom has come back from shopping. Then I hear utensils. I guess she started cooking food.

Mom calls me to come out. I see her, and my eyes widen in shock.

“Mom!”, I manage to shout.

She is wearing a small white crop top that does not even hide the bottom of her breasts, and also has a very deep neckline. More than three-fourths of her breasts are just naked. She is not wearing a bra and the top is thin, so the remaining things, her nipples are visible too.

At the bottom, she is wearing a very small and clingy pair of jean shorts that don’t even hide half of her butt.

“She looks sexy ... doesn’t she?”, he says.

I realise he is making her do this. And she is doing this. She is doing this in front of me!

My mom doesn’t make eye contact and just points to the food on the table.

“Come, take a seat”, he says.

I just stand there frozen, not knowing what to do. After a few seconds of shock, I start walking towards the table while battling my tears. While walking, I realise I could have gone back to my room.

I take the farthest chair from him.

He just shifts to the chair beside mine.

“We will all eat from a single set of plates today like a loving family” he says.

Mom starts setting the plates, standing between us. He immediately places his hand on her butt and grabs it. I immediately turn my head away and start looking at the table.

“Did you do your homework?”, I hear him say. I keep looking at the table.

“Stop setting the table. Your daughter is behaving like a spoiled brat, she is not answering her Papa’s question ... she is not even looking at my eyes”, he shouts.

“Don’t be rude!”, Mom shouts.

I can’t believe she is shouting at me. I want to scream at her, but I won’t do it in front of him. I turn my head towards him again.

While looking at his face, I can’t avoid looking at his hand groping my Mom’s butt. His hand is squeezing in between my Mom’s legs, and I can see Mom clenching the plate in her hands. I can see her grinding her teeth, but she doesn’t seem upset or angry, just looks vulnerable. She is opening and closing her eyes slowly.

“So did you do your homework?”, he asks as Mom goes back to setting the table.

I shake my head.

“Why not?”, he asks.

I was upset Mom didn’t believe me, and then, after what he told me, homework didn’t seem important.

“I didn’t have time”, I say.

“Hmmm ... okay, you should do the homework, and if you have doubts, I can help you...”, he said as he continued to grope my mother.

“ ... I can help you ... unlike your stupid, worthless mother...”, he adds.

My eyes widen in shock, and I look at Mom. She is just finishing setting up and doesn’t look at all affected by his comments.

I can’t believe she is allowing him to talk like this, and also in front of me! Tears bubble up in my eyes.

She finishes and tells him, “I am done”

“Okay ... sit on my lap and let’s start eating...”, he says.

My mother nods and gently sits on his lap. He immediately slides his non-dominant left hand inside her shorts from the front.
