Chapter 3

If there was no moon above,
You’d reflect the sun at night.
To keep the shadows far away,
You saved my life that night.
I held your hand when the cold wind blew,
And you kept me warm at night.
I promised my heart would always be yours,
But you took my life that night.
Dream, oh dream,
My lovely dream,
Why did you take my life that night?
I would have burned heaven,
I would have raised hell,
But you took my life at night.
Summer has fallen,
Now comes winter at night.
The earth shivers it’s death,
And we danced that night.
When the sun went down I whispered your name,
You spoke with me at night.
So tenderly you held me,
Until the end of that night.
Dream, oh dream,
My lovely dream,
I awake in the morning light.
I would have burned heaven,
I would have raised hell,
But I came back to life in sunlight.
