Chapter 17: New Life

Paul was curled up asleep on the back seat of the car, exhausted from the long day and all the changes. Riki pulled into the school parking lot where Viki was already waiting.

She got out and, in front of all the students and teachers, hugged her daughter tightly as if she had been gone all day. Then she leaned in and gave her a long, sensual kiss on the lips — not quick, but slow and passionate, until Viki’s breasts pressed against her body.

When they pulled apart, Riki whispered:

“I have a surprise in the car. We have a new family member. Don’t wake him yet — I’ll tell you the whole story at home.”

Viki raised an eyebrow and thought: Mom, a puppy?

But when she peeked through the window at the back seat, she froze in shock. A thin boy with brown hair was sleeping there, curled up and exhausted.

“Mom ... who is that?” she whispered.

Riki put a finger to her lips and pointed at Paul to keep quiet. “Come on, let’s go home.”

In the caravan, they all sat down at the small table. Paul was still sleepy and confused. Riki took a deep breath and began:

“I grew up in a wealthy aristocratic family where order and obedience came first. It suffocated me. At thirteen I couldn’t take it anymore and ran away from home. I fell in with the wrong crowd — drugs, sex every day. I got pregnant with you, Viki. And then something inside me broke. It wasn’t about me anymore. It was about you, about the life growing inside me. I managed to run away again. I fought my way through life and earned the most through sex.”
