Talia had no idea what kinds of games she would get into as she talked more and more with one of her co-writing role-playing partners. She soon discovered she was more like Niki than she had ever realized.

This was originally posted prior to the great purge of 2024 (?) I had posted a number of stories, and after the pandemic, the craziness in my country re: book bans and other censorship, I removed everything from this site. After some time has passed, and some assurances that the NSA is not likely to come knocking, I am slowly reposting my favorite stories - with considerable editing -- either due to changes in writing style, or (in this particular case) some changes in how I recall certain events -- along with a desire to change how I relate the Chuck/Mason conversations. Those looking for the original are going to be disappointed - but the spirit of those conversations, especially in what used to be Book 1, remains.
