Chapter 11: Under New Management

The afternoon on the beach ends at four o’clock to the news that the troupe will be departing for the next venue in thirty minutes. Sarge isn’t forthcoming about why they are making a relatively late departure today. The skaters know there is no performance tonight, but that a matinee and evening performance are scheduled at the next venue for tomorrow. There’s no sign of Mistress Heather returning. From what little information Zoe and the others have been given, it seems likely Mistress Heather will be in hospital for a few more days. Even when she’s discharged, there’s speculation that she’ll not be able to skate again for weeks, if not months.
It’s a tribute to the control Mistress Heather and Sarge have over the troupe that the six skaters meekly obey Sarge’s orders without dissent. However, not everything is as subdued as it seems. During their free time today, Roxy managed to score a fix of whatever illicit substance she takes when she can sneak away. Tessa and Lina make sure that Sarge doesn’t realise that Roxy is high as a kite. Hopefully she’ll be back on Earth by the time they arrive at the next stop. Tessa and Jade both transgressed from Mistress Heather’s rules as well. They both made out with some random guys on the beach, and both are showing bruises from the rough sex that followed. The bruises aren’t so noticeable against Tessa’s dark skin, but Jade is busy applying copious amounts of cream to disguise the more visible marks on her neck and thighs.
The bus sets off moreorless on schedule on what turns out to be a ninety minute drive followed by a short ferry crossing. The city of Fort Morris is on a long peninsula that is easier to reach by ferry than drive all the way around the inlet. By nine o’clock the bus is parked at their overnight location. There’s a small latenight diner nearby, and Sarge takes the troupe for what turns out to be a barely edible meal.
“Get a good night’s sleep,” says Sarge. “You’ll be meeting your new temporary mistress first thing in the morning. If you think Mistress Heather is harsh, then I’m told that your new one is ten times worse. Be sure that you are on your best form for the performances, or you’ll be suffering the consequences.”
With a threat like that, it isn’t surprising that sleep eludes everyone but Roxy, who is still too high to care about anything. Speculation among the troupe as to the identity of their new mistress is soon exhausted due to a lack of possible candidates. Zoe is the only one among the skaters who has previously met Madame du Frêsne. She knows Brigitte du Frêsne is part of the dominantsubmissive scene, but she can’t think of any reason why she would get involved in managing the Heather Hopkins Ice Show ... even for a few days. However, the more Zoe thinks about the subject, the more she believes Madame du Frêsne will be the person they will meet tomorrow. After all, she made a special trip to rescue Zoe from police custody and alluded to having her own reasons for making the trip. However, Zoe keeps her thoughts to herself.
Since neither Mira nor Zoe can sleep, they take the opportunity to make up for their separation last night. The cramped conditions limit their coupling to less vigorous activities, but they are well practised at arousing each other and bringing themselves to an orgasm.
