Chapter 7
This I know to be true,
One plus one equals two.
This I know to be correct,
Crane too hard, you’ll break your neck.
This I know to be right,
I lie awake too many a night.
This I know to be faultless,
My mind remains a chaotic mess.
This is accurate to these days,
I’m lost in an obscuring haze.
Uhhhhg, It’s been a few days. What really peeves me is that April is going to be even more maddening. So much familial responsibility, taxes, other adult tasks I’ve been dragging my lazy ass about. If I sound like I’m complaining, it’s because I am indeed engaging in that time old activity of an old crone. (I’m actually not that old, I’m just feel like it.) I’ve sorta lapsed on my studies too, how dare I. Let’s blame it on the shit-for-weather we’ve been having here. Cold, damp, annoying, and today? Snow. SNOW. MUTHAFOOK’N SNOW!!! IT’s not sticking, thank gawd, but still, as Dr. Becker would put it, ‘It’s the PRINCIPLE!’ By now, my dear readers, you know I hate cold, well, I LOATHE snow entirely. “Why the hell you living in a cold snowy state then Miss Nyte?”
>_> Well, a close family member was going through a hell of a time with health issues and needed some help, like I’m talking death’s door issues. So, being the dutiful sister I am, I moved to be close to family because time is short, try not to regret your terrible life choices. Then I had some misadventures of my own, so for now I am stuck here. I’d rather be in Arizona.
So I did something that may prove to be a good thing, a bad thing, or an interesting thing. I finally got around to stepping outside my comfort zone and joined an adult group site. I’d like to meet more actual humans, but I’m pretty burned by ‘normal polite society’ so I figured, fuck it, if the same damn thing keeps burning me, I’ll go outside the norm. So far, everyone seems rather pleasant. I’ll keep abreast to whatever interesting instances come of this development. I also joined a hobby class. I will keep abreast of that too.
