On Friday morning, after Matt had left for work and Chloe had changed the bedding and tidied the kitchen, she returned home to complete her chores and do more reading ahead. Fiona came round in the afternoon and the girls chatted about returning to school the following week.

Fiona and Chloe showered together early so that the single bathroom would be free when their parents returned from work. The girls rinsed each other off and got out of the shower. They dried off most of the water and were just heading along the landing towards their room, both naked, when Rob met them coming the other way.
“Hi Rob!” Chloe greeted him, giggling. “Sorry, we didn’t hear you come in!”
“Hi Dad!” Fiona added, giggling too.
“Hello, girls!” Rob replied, thinking that he should really look away, but he was transfixed.
Jan was right behind him, laughing. “Close your mouth, Rob and get used to it!”
The girls spent some time drying their hair and getting ready to go out while their parents showered and changed. The 4 of them went out to the local Chinese restaurant to celebrate Chloe being chosen as Deputy Head Girl. After they had ordered, Jan said “I’ve been dying to hear about the interview with the head on Wednesday. Tell us all a out it!”
Chloe chuckled “Well, she was very interested in the Activity Centre and started by asking Fiona and Jeff all a out it. She then asked me to explain why I had made the booking in the school’s name without approval. I showed her all the emails and she said that she should still punish me but wouldn’t because she would have done the same.”
“You’re lucky she’s so honest” Rob said.
“I am” Chloe replied and then continued “She then appointed me as the school’s official Activities Co-ordinator to arrange for other kids to go to Grafham. That was a bit of a shock, but not half as much as when she asked me to be Deputy Head Girl.”
“Fortunately your unauthorised Grafham booking didn’t cause her to change her mind” Rob commented.
“Maybe showing some initiative reinforced it” Jan added.
“I was a bit worried that if my relationship with Tina and Matt came out, it could cause her a lot of problems, so I said I thought I should tell her some things about my private life, but she didn’t want to know and just asked me to be discreet. I guess she knows more than I realised.”
“At least you don’t have to worry about getting caught making out with Matt at school!” Fiona laughed. “Just with Tina!”
“You had better not get caught making out with the Deputy Head Boy either!” Chloe replied, laughing too.
Jan and Rob looked puzzled, so Chloe explained “Jeff was made Deputy Head Boy too.”
Chloe continued “The other thing I wanted to tell you about was that Tina, Jeff, Ralph and I have decided to form a study group, but we haven’t decided where to have it yet.”
“Evie and I are going to form a mini study group with them too and hope some of the geekiness is catching!” Fiona added.
“Great idea” Rob said enthusiastically, having a conscience about Fiona’s grades dropping dramatically since he left.
