Chapter 32: Happy Birthday Miss Paper
Jerry raised an eyebrow: “Maybe?”
“Huh?” Rose’s beautiful eyes widened.
“Did you get hurt in love, so you have a problem with your orientation?”
“You ... Do you like men now? And old men?”
“Wow!” she exclaimed dramatically.
“President Miller, you’re not secretly going to Gerlin behind my back in a while, are you?”
[A/N: Gerlin, where most of the people are Gay or Ladyboy]
“I’ve heard that many men who prefer men go there.”
Jerry’s forehead creased with exasperation: “Isn’t that a bit much?”
“Sigh.” Rose shook her head helplessly.
“It’s over, your image in my heart is ruined.”
“President Miller, you need to cheer up!”
“That’s enough, that’s enough,” Jerry said with a laugh, “Are you ever going to stop?”
Not far away, Lele watched the two flirting and teasing each other, and felt a little jealous. Jerry used to fawn over him, but now he’s turning around and trying to please other women.
She felt inexplicably uneasy.
Just then, Jacob, who had just made an excuse to go to the restroom, came over carrying an exquisite cake. He carefully unwrapped it on the table and lit the candles.
“Happy birthday, Lele!”
Then, he took out a small gift box and gently opened it. Inside was a delicate blue crystal heart-shaped necklace.
Lele gently covered her red lips, her eyes wide with surprise, as she let Jacob put the necklace around her neck.
“Brother Jacob, you’re so good to me.” Her eyes glistened with tears.
Jacob smiled smugly: “This necklace is a custom-made one that I specially bought from a luxury boutique. It has the initials of our two names engraved on it, and it cost me over 300,000 yuan.”
Overwhelmed with emotion, Lele hugged Jacob and kissed his cheek.
Jacob also embraced her without any hesitation. The crowd looked surprised, but they put aside their past grievances and applauded the two of them.
Rose’s beautiful eyes sparkled, filled with envy. She knew that Lele and she shared the same birthday, but Jerry always diligently spent the day with Lele, completely unaware that it was also her birthday.
She gently bit her red lips, looking at the blue crystal necklace around Lele’s neck.
‘That’s over 300,000!’
She didn’t expect Jerry to give her such an expensive necklace; she would be happy even if he gave her an ordinary silver necklace.
Actually, she was already very happy that Jerry agreed to have dinner with her today.
In previous years, Jerry would never have agreed. Jerry saw the deep envy in Rose’s eyes and felt extremely guilty.
He had treated her so badly before, yet she still stayed by his side.
‘In this life, I must make it up to her.’
He smiled and said, “Silly girl, don’t envy her.”
“No, I’m not envious at all.” Rose shook her head repeatedly: “I’m not envious at all.”
At that moment, the sound of orderly footsteps rang out.
A dozen or so beautiful women dressed in sexy black dresses walked in, each carrying a plate of exquisite dishes, and lined up in two rows.
Afterwards, Old Man Paul personally pushed a large cake into the banquet hall.
The cake was very large and exquisite, measuring a full 16 inches.
The crowd erupted in uproar upon witnessing this scene.
“Wow, is this a big deal?”
“This cake is huge! And it’s a royal dish. This cake alone is worth hundreds of thousands.”
“Most importantly, it was President Paul who personally pushed the cart. Who has such a big face that President Paul would personally deliver the cake?”
Lele was shocked, her beautiful eyes widened, and she covered her red lips: “Wow!”
“Brother Jacob, you ... you’re too good to me!”
“You actually bought such a huge cake! And even had President Paul push the cart himself!”
There was an uproar at the scene.
“Does Jacob really have that much influence?”
“He’s really going all out to please Lele.”
“Lele is so lucky! Honey, I want it to be like this for my birthday too.” Rose’s beautiful eyes widened as she stared blankly at the large cake.
‘Today is my birthday, and I specially canceled my celebration with family and friends to spend time with Jerry. Nobody celebrated my birthday.’
She didn’t even receive a small cake or a blessing.
On the same day, Lele was treated like a star surrounded by admirers.
Only Jacob was dumbfounded.
