Chapter 22: Lackey of White Dog Gang
Dan’s eyes lit up: “They must have captured the person.” Ena’s beautiful eyes were full of coldness. She nodded and crossed her legs.
She looked like a wealthy woman. She planned to teach Rose a lesson. But the noise outside was getting louder and louder. The wheels rolled over the concrete, followed by a screeching sound of sudden braking.
And there was also a dense, continuous sound of footsteps. Ena’s expression changed slightly: “Didn’t you send out a few people? Why are there so many here?”
“Oh no!” Dan realized, “We’re doomed, has Jerry found out?”
“No, that’s impossible. How could he have gathered so many people?” Ena exclaimed in surprise.
“Stop dawdling, run!” Dan grabbed Ena and headed outside. “Hide over there in the factory, turn off the power. I know a place we can slip away from.”
But just then, the office door was kicked open. A large group of people rushed in, each carrying a machete wrapped in newspaper and with bandages on their wrists.
Dan could tell at a glance that they were ruthless gangsters. But after looking around, he realized that he didn’t recognize any of them. Suddenly, a bald, burly man wearing sunglasses and a gold chain walked in.
Dan immediately went weak in the knees in fright: “Black, Black Wolf!”
Ena was so frightened that she collapsed to the ground, wailing and sobbing, “Spare me, spare me, spare me!”
Black Wolf grinned maliciously as he walked up to Dan: “You know me?”
“Of course, I follow Brother White Dog. If I have offended you in any way, please forgive me for Brother White Dog’s sake.” Dan said with a look of fear.
At the same time, he was extremely shocked. Wasn’t Black Wolf just released from prison?
His former power and followers had long since disappeared from the underworld.
How did he manage to gather so many people all of a sudden?
Black Wolf slapped Dan across the face and cursed, “You piece of trash, you dare to know me? You’re a disgrace!”
Dan was dazed and disoriented from the slap, and his face darkened. After all, he had been following White Dog, while Black Wolf had just been released from prison.
Hitting him is like slapping a white dog in the face.
He said in a deep voice, “Brother Black Wolf, although you used to be the boss of this area in Kingsland, things are different now. You can no longer be the boss.”
“Brother White Dog’s power has grown even stronger than yours was back then.”
“I’m working for Brother White Dog. If you want to mess with me, you’d better think twice.”
Upon hearing this, the thugs showed a hint of fear on their faces. They had also heard of the White Dog’s reputation; he was a well-known figure in the underground forces of Kingsland.
Even with Jerry’s support, Black Wolf is no match for White Dog. Black Wolf slapped Dan again and sneered, “White Dog, I used to treat him like a dog.”
“And you are the dog of the white dog, so out of grief and indignation, you should call me grandpa.”
“Pah, what a fucking bad luck, I cursed myself into it too.”
After saying that, he threw Dan to the ground and kicked him several times. Ena said in a trembling voice, “Brother Black Wolf, we have no grudge against each other, why did you attack us?”
“I am a member of the Miller Family. Please speak to me properly.”
“The Miller Family? Just a third-rate family.” One of the underlings spat, “Even less effective than the White Dog’s name.”
Ena’s face turned pale, and she gritted her teeth and said, “What about JM Group? I am a senior executive of the JM Group, and the chairman of the group is my younger brother.”
“Shouldn’t Brother Black Wolf give face to the CEO of a multi-billion dollar conglomerate?”
After all, JM Group is a large and well-known company in Kingsland. It even enjoys a certain degree of popularity nationwide, and its products sell well both at home and abroad.
Black Wolf’s expression changed, and he said with surprise and doubt, “The older sister of the CEO of a multi-billion dollar conglomerate? Her identity is extraordinary.”
Ena immediately raised her head, as if she had gained confidence: “Yes, JM Group is rich and powerful. As long as you let me go, I will have my brother give you as much money as you want.”
Dan also raised his head, his face full of arrogance.
