Chapter 15: Video Footage
Director Mohan said stiffly, “I don’t understand what you mean?” Jerry’s lips curled into a cold smile.
Director Mohan still wanted to play dumb.
He said calmly, “Do I have to show you the video before you’ll believe me?” Director Mohan was immediately dumbfounded, standing there in a daze.
Jerry even filmed it?
Jerry smiled faintly: “I don’t want to waste my time with you. First, you can accept the money the Miller Family gave you; I won’t ask for it back.”
“Secondly, from now on, no assistance shall be provided to the Miller Family or Lele.”
“Third, arrest the Miller Family and Lele for defamation and detain them for a few days.”
Director Mohan’s face was grim as he said, enunciating each word clearly, “Are you giving me an order?”
“That’s right.” Jerry grinned and readily admitted, “I think Director Mohan knows how to prioritize.”
“Aren’t you afraid I’ll go all out and arrest you?” Director Mohan stared intently at Jerry. “I have the ability to convict you, sentence you tomorrow, and throw you straight into jail.”
“I advise you to be honest, destroy the video, and keep this to yourself.” An aura of authority emanated from the room, and the temperature inside immediately plummeted to freezing.
Even the people outside the mediation room couldn’t help but shudder.
Jerry’s eyes remained calm, knowing he couldn’t be intimidated. He smiled and said, “If I don’t reply in half an hour, Director Mohan’s heroic figure will appear on the internet.”
“Hahaha!” Director Mohan couldn’t help but laugh loudly, “At worst, I’ll lose this job, but you’ll have to spend more than ten years in jail.”
“You think you can threaten me? You’re still too green.”
“Is it really that simple, just losing your job?” Jerry’s eyes were mocking. “Aren’t you afraid your father-in-law in the military will kill you?”
“After all, both of his daughters have fallen for you.”
“What?” Director Mohan looked horrified, not expecting that Jerry even knew his father-in-law’s identity.
This is a highly classified secret. Even his wife and Sister-in-law aunt didn’t know his father-in-law’s specific position.
“I’m leaving now.” Jerry clapped his hands, a smile playing on his lips. “Director Mohan, don’t disappoint me.”
Director Mohan sat there blankly until Jerry pushed open the door to the mediation room, at which point he snapped out of his daze. Everyone stared at Jerry in shock when they saw him emerge unharmed.
“What’s going on?” Deputy Director Carter demanded.
“What did the Director say?”
“They must have made him turn himself in obediently.” Lele said viciously and mercilessly, “Did he really think he could fight the police chief just because he has a little money?”
“Overestimating yourself.” The eldest sister smiled contemptuously. “It seems we’ve spoiled you. You even dare to disrespect the director.”
“Now look at what happened. If you hadn’t handed over the JM Group, you’d definitely be going to jail,” the second sister said sarcastically.
“If this bastard had behaved, things wouldn’t have ended like this.” Third Sister glanced at Robert, her smile as radiant as a flower: “We’ve avenged our brother Jacob.”
Jerry looked at everyone as if they were fools, and said indifferently, “You all better behave yourselves.”
After saying that, he walked straight out of the police station. Everyone was stunned. Wasn’t he being far too arrogant?
“Stop right there!” Deputy Director Carter shouted angrily. Several police officers immediately surrounded them.
Tim frowned and said, “Dude, don’t do anything reckless.”
Just then, Director Mohan, his expression back to normal, pushed open the door and strode out, his face grim. “What are you doing? What are you all doing?”
Lele immediately said obsequiously, “Chief, he forced me not to confess and even dared to provoke you. Now he’s even trying to run away. We’re stopping him.”
Director Mohan’s lips twitched violently, and he slapped Lele hard.
Snap!
It was exceptionally crisp.
The scene fell silent instantly.
Everyone stared at Director Mohan, their faces filled with shock.
Director Mohan snorted coldly: “The investigation has been completed. President Miller was framed.”
